So many good points here. As a self employed like you I'm currently working on level 9 monk mode to plan my day and provide structure. It's the only way to conquer your brain I think, but it's hard especially if you work from home alone as I do atm.
You hit the nail on the head Jim on all those topics, I still can feel the immense sense of freedom when I walked out of those barracks gates the day I left and that was 45 years ago but as you said you still have to check your self and keep striving for perfection because that is the military way and probably the kind of personality you are.
