  • Sabudana Thalipeeth is a traditional and delicious dish that is perfect for Mahashivaratri Vrat. It is made with simple ingredients like sago (sabudana), boiled potatoes, and mild spices, offering a satisfying and flavuorful meal that adheres to Vrat restrictions.
    INGREDIENTS:
    Tapioca Pearls - 2 cups
    Green chillies finely chopped - 4
    Ginger finely chopped - 1 Tsp
    Coriander leaves finely chopped - 1/4th cup
    Peanut powder - 1/4th cup
    Sweet potato - 4 medium
    Salt to taste
    METHOD
    - Soak the Sabudana/Tapioca Pearls for 15 minutes.
    - Wash it 3 to 4 times in water.
    - Add water until the Sabudana is covered and let it rest for 4 hours.
    - Pressure cook the sweet potato for 3 whistles.
    - Peel and mash the sweet potato.
    - Add the sweet potato, green chillies, ginger, peanut powder, coriander leaves and salt to the soaked sabudana.
    - Blend everything together with hands and make medium sized balls.
    - Flatten the balls on a parchment paper or a plantain (banana) leaf.
    - Cook both sides of the Sabudana in a tawa with ghee for 2 to 3 minutes.
    - Vrat wali Sabudana Thalipeeth is ready!
