Obviously he’s a skilled trainer, but this guy has mastered the psychology of developing a player
Basketball analysis is discussed at an elite level on this podcast!..
Except when anyone before 2000 is mentioned. Then we go Uber ignorant.
It really is
@@TheIcemanthomasespn and fox talk about all the players before 2000 all day. I don’t want to hear it here too.
That shooting tip about not using fast twitch muscles for shooting is gold.
Gil’s process of studying opposing players moves is legendary.
Crazy I went to college at WSU PLAYED against Chris aka lethal shooter and he was solid but had some injuries! Such a chill dude glad to see him 🏀👌
Was he nice nice tho ??? 🤔
@@palehorserider1407he said he was solid
This nigga avg'd just north of 7ppg.. In his college career..
Crazy thing is he wasn't that good of a shooter when he left WSU, but then he transferred to St. Bonaventure...He did average about 11 on 40% FG and 35% 3PT tho, remember he shot alot of 3s with the Bonnies.
Facts 💯 Gill and Chris I go shoot like 100 form shooting close and mid-range shots my arms are sore the next day. Like myself we had no trainers or social media trainers teaching how to shoot in the 80's and 90's. Players were self taught at that time. The new generation is very lucky now to have trainers to develop their skills early on.
They’re lucky but a bit too dependent on trainers that the creativity, and artistic value of basketball is gone a bit. No one has uniqueness, everyone seems to train with similar type trainers
Working with my 13 year old son and my 10 year old daughter. I do what my Dad did with me. Work from the inside out. Perfect your form from under the basket to the free throw line. 250 shots a day. Once those shots are down pack, then we move beyond the arc. Same form, every time.
Lethal needs a podcast!
💯!.. Pin this comment to the top📌
I played with Chris in the some pro summer leagues in the DMV and Baltimore … Cool humble dude. My guy loved his socks lol 💯
Pro-Am('s) 😅
He’s the most likeable training coach in the game. Make trainers cool, it’s great and awesome seeing him inspire others. He got that will and desire and it needs to be appreciated. Good traits to have and learn from him
The best episode yall done period. Lotta 💎 gems dropped.
Great show 🙌🏾
I like how LS shouts out the lesser known nba players 🙏🏾
Great interview
Just listening to this I feel like I’m a better shooter. The way he explained everything makes perfect sense to me
gotta bring back lethal back great interview!
I’m so happy that you guys gave Michael Beasley his flowers one of my favorites
Lethal Shooter has credentials, lived experiences and is qualified to be a Basketball Trainer unlike many others out there SMH
Yea he got a stupid as5 nickname too😅
Dude shot like 34 percent from 3 in thr g league
@@ryanlowe7315 And you shot 5 percent in the church league. What are your accomplishments? Do you have people paying you lots of money to do anything worthwhile?
@@ryanlowe7315 Why are you trying to talk bad about someone that has incredible accomplishments in his chosen endeavor? Can the same be said by you in your profession?
@@ryanlowe7315 Do you hold any records at your school? Are you even recognized as being good at anything?
In-Freakin-SANE! This doesn’t already have a quarter million views.
Good content is not for average viewer..if it was some crap content ,now that sells, shit in a jar or smth.
Saw his Curtbone TV interview. This is a high character guy. He deserves all the success he gets.
Great Trainer,,He knows what he is talking about " Agent 0 , Great Podcast
dang i didnt know it was steph vs lethal... epic matchup
I was always a very athletic player with a 46 inch vertical but couldn’t be consistent with shooting the ball and would get laughed at.
Craig Hodges was my shooting coach as well. I already had looked up to him so it was easy to take directions. He really helped my game with shooting when my high school and college coaches didn’t want to take the time, whole time it was just a few things that needed to be tweaked.
46" vert🤔🤔
Lethal Shooter is right, fans do not get it Hard Work is not quick ESPN highlights. Great Show Giblert and Josiah!
This man Gil smartest in the game low key
He's really a intelligent dude 22:56
Bro i saw Mike Beastttt in High School - Elite 24, Jordan Classic, Mcdonalds you name it and he was MAN amongst boiss!! Truly gifted bro truly gifted!!!!
This was a fantastic watch.
Lethal shooter is great for the basketball community. Love how he loves helping kids and charging less based off their family, even though he trains nba players. This is what it’s all about giving back to the game
You made know sense with the Jordan example every tries to resemble they favorite player .
They was talking talking in this one i love it
RJ Barrett needs to sub out Drew Hanlen for this dude immediately.
Side note - this podcast made me realize that Kobe was my MJ.
you hear it too
Clean interview 👍
25:51 I trained myself to become a better shooter so I know what Gil means about that wrist pain. Or even elbow pain
When I was serious about hooping, that elbow pain was hell
For me it’s shoulder so i guess my form is 🗑️
@@BRONCOBOY7575 wouldn’t say that. U prolly just have a hitch in ur jumper. That kinda stuff is easy to fix. Just focused time and effort and repetition
Like how gill admits he had to learn to blow by and lay up off hand left leg eb was nasty with the Euro
LETHAL STEALIN SOUND BITES🤔
"WHY DID YOU TAKE THAT SHOT?
DO YOU PRACTICE THAT SHOT?
WHEN?" PATRICK EWING 😂😂😂
43:38 They did at the same time🤣
I’m a trainer here in Orlando. Most of my clients join my program after watching me play.
I remember playing Beasley in hs 🥺
Elgin Baylor Step is correct. Girvin, Oscar and Clyde all did it.
W vid
5:25 hardest hiccup I’ve ever heard 🤣 sound like that sh*t hurt
Great folks Great show thank you all sincerely
At 44:00....they're EXACTLY RIGHT. Another example is Rondo wit the fake behind-the-back layup.....FROBE 8 did That too!! But it's Rondo's and LeBron transition between the legs spin layup... ALSO Kobe. It's the way the game evolves Yo.
My father called that twitch that they’re talking about. Learning how to be quick but don’t hurry. Which I master it at a young age. Blowing by and pulling up for a 12 to 10 footer.
Gil looking like a Hobbit with them chair placements.
🔥🔥🔥
As a Laker fan with sense I love what you do lethal
Y’all forgot to mention a very popular shooter that wore the number 30 in the DMV area… Bernard King.
Dope video 🫡
Bernard King?? He from Brooklyn
@@ricosuavepr1207 I said that Bernard King wore number 30 in the DMV area.
Bernard King played for the Washington Bullets during his career. Where did I lie?
@@TwelfthSt9 Damn! at the end of his career he did, but thats like saying Jordan wore 23 in the DMV🤣🤣🤣
@@TwelfthSt9 His brother is more known in the DMV, Bernard is known as a Knick.
HE TRAINED MPJ 😩HE REALLY IS CERTIFIED
shiiii good stuff here
Bias Won a championship with my uncle in college Ben “Big Ben” Coleman. RIP
even though I was slightly conflicted, there were too many jewels…I Had to share it with my son 😂
The best shooters have always stepped 2-3 feet behind whatever line was marked as deep. The best push themselves. Becoming a form shooter happens age 13-16. After that most peoples Js are broke or wet. Takes a lot of work to change like Lonzo Ball but easier while making 8 figures.
life is about evolving. step evolved the game. and somebody else will do it again. smart ppl will take that and add something new to it. are give a big man steph shot. the game will always change
Show this to jarad Vanderbilt
To train for defense on Steph you need the Rocky training for Apollo Creed lol 😅
💎
46:46 😂😂 he literally put his hand over Gil’s
If we got grassroots players how do we get in contact with a top trainer so we can actually give ours kids at a chance at be something in this sport we all love serious parent wanting too know
Word is Chris “Lethal Shooter Matthews is still saying “Mmm hmm” to this day.
Great interview!! I like Lethal Shooter although some of his videos are straight trash in my opinion!! And all due respect he is a very sensitive person!! He cares deeply about what people think otherwise he wouldn't block people on his IG page 😂!!
Yooooo where that accent come from Gil 44:35 LMFAOOOOOOOOO
1:03:56
Mindset every practice + game within a game
No this man did not mention Salim Stoudamire in the same breath as Curry Lolol
Why is this censored?
23:08 Onward
Ben Simmons
*Gilbert Arenas:* You think Steph does spot shooting? He runs and shoots. HE TRAINS HOW HE PLAYS
37:13
Film yourself
Don't give a fuck who it is, take stuff from them
- Always train for the most aggressive defenders. ALWAYS. Each training session
- Train with the best defensive player you know. You help him, he helps you
Gil looks so tiny sitting there! 😂😂😂😂
We as lakers fans, we want you to live with the players to. Train him in his sleep & as a laker community we’ll start a GoFundMe to pay you yearly or monthly.
Bro on the left looks like a Key & Peele Character
39:22
Shooting
Giving away the sauce for free
Well Dillon brooks summer just opened up….js
Lmfaoooo when Gil need with lupita?
Didn't Patrick Ewing tell a player that exact thing in a huddle😂
2:37 Durk is actually Lil Durk real name 😂😂😂😂😂
💯🤣 like his momma call him Derrick 🤣😭💀
Wow gil could’ve been anything
He was droppin to many free jewels I would’ve sold these peasants
My nickname mid-range lol the highest percentage
durk real name is durk lol
Sound?!
it's there
Rocket money
Becky the stallion is crazy llol
41:00
Any kind of shooting is good for the game. Not everyone can be 6'8" or 7'1" tall but most men can be 5'10" Trae Young.
I feel like Gil just needs a person in his crew that will rock a crown. Like someone that can look like a clown so that everyone in the crew can be happy they aint him.
Yooooo... Mhm
Perhaps Luka signed a promissory with his Mother🤔
Even if that’s true, your son is in postion to make close to a billion dollars in career earnings. Like the money will come if you just stay patient lol
Ben Simmons better be tuning in with his punk a**!!!
Might just be 2 good steps 😂
Yo that rocket money ad was ass.
Nah ,its a fairy tale,no fast twitcher is elite shooter, descent yes through lot of work but elite,no.
Its not the same touch.
But thanks for explaining it as a term.
The only way I could do that was m
Funny Thing Durks Real Name Is Durk Lol

Your greatness gets you when others do not get it.
