I could watch Melo shoot jumpers all day.
Facts. Poetry in motion bro! He's just an artist who has perfected his craft.
In practice for sure but not when he plays for your favorite team lmao
💯
His jump shot is my number one jump shot💯
me too....
Melo is actually really good at explaining his process and acknowledging that it came slowly over time and repetition.
no he was like a fat kid ..by the time he got to the nba he was fast.
@@kelvs45 The quick pull up was always a part of his game. He developed it because he was slower as a kid and couldn't shake defenders easily. The quick pull up plus his triple treat is unstoppable.
@@kelvs45 That’s because they moved him to PF and was having him play at 240 instead of 230 like he was in Denver and early NY.
@@kelvs45 he literally said in the video he was slower when he was younger... Calli is right
@@callidawkins85 your dumb he was never a fat kid he was skinny most of his whole life he didn’t really start to get heavier til he got with Lala & went to NY .. when he said that he’s talking about when he was young playing with the older kids he would be slower .. I bet you he was in the 6th grade playing against varsity high schoolers , I know I did when I was young & I’m not even in the NBA like him but with that being said when you’re young playing up that much older competition you tend to learn tricks that can help you 🤷🏽♂️
Melo is a legend. One of the best offensive players to ever touch the Harwood. Give him his roses while he still here.
What about defense?
@@bobnob1376 we not talkin bout dat
@@bobnob1376 not everybody plays both sides. He is a special offensive threat. He was never that fast but he killed people a lot like Harden does, making them look dumb, selling moves with his head, his body. Defense is just not for everybody. Shít is tough
@@yopawpaw7408 can’t coach effort. A 6’7 skilled forward like melo, should be good at defense. 🤷🏽♂️ that’s why his teams never reached full potential
@@bobnob1376 what are you saying?? 6’7 should be good at defense??? There’s so many player that are the same size and their defense is not as good
Melo is an Artist. The man literally has countless amounts of moves.
A lot of people dont like em but i love his move set.
@Bts054 O54 Kobe is another Artist. I enjoy both these players games. The way they set up their shots its on another level. It's a gift they have.
@Bts054 O54 lol ok smh
@Bts054 O54 You don't like his post game? Watch him in the series when he was with the Nuggets vs Kobe, he's an elite scorer.
@Bts054 O54 bruh u sound dumb. Just cuz kobe has alot of moves Melo don't? Quit sports
I didn't appreciate melo until I got older and watched his foot work. My dude could create space in a phone booth. His jab pump fake jab dribble pull up move is one of my favorite.
I’m weak in a phone booth 😂😂my favorite player
Probably one of the most pure versatile scorers of all time
No need for the probably in that statement.
@@ricli3614 In his time with the Nuggets and Knicks it looked like he was alone in the gym. Like no defender was even guarding him. So pure. Never sped up, always going at his own speed. Top tier footwork, postgame, fades, jabs, spins, can catch fire on 3s, plays bully ball with the trees, one of the quickest releases ever. He's still putting on clinics in year 18. Legend of the game.
@@EF-vm7wi trust me ik this bro, hes my favorite player of all time besides kawhi maybe. But I still love him, especially as a Knicks fan. To me hes one of the most underrated players of all time. I even wrote an essay abt it and everything. He gets so much disrespect, if he wasnt underrated hed have a much more decorated career.
@@ricli3614 Who are you me?!? Those are my two favorites. Been watching Melo since The Cuse days and Kawhi since he went to my alma mater SDSU. Keep preaching my man, you have no idea how refreshing it is to hear you talk about this. He never took the easy way out to a chip like so many of his peers. And we don't need to go into the Phil disaster... Real fans know his game. All the greats know how good Melo is. Hell he's even one of Kawhi's idols.
@@EF-vm7wi I mean, we do have the same name, my name is Eric too. And I'll be honest I didnt cover basketball until 2012. But I still appreciate the older tougher era. Ik prime melo today be averaging 33+
Still hoping a ring for Melo
Rings don’t make you a legendary there’s a lot of mediocre players with rings
@@tydeshawn125 still im hoping a ring for him
@@tydeshawn125 yea but a ring i feel would be important to even him personally. Same with CP3
😏
@@henrycavillsrealmustache3553 he swallowed his ego and joined the lakers for the ring.
Melo's quick release is def underrated. The blazers were able to steal a couple games in the bubble because Melo was able to hit some tough 3s in the clutch before a defender could close out. I think he's underrated as a pull up shooter because he's so fast at getting it off.
Nah he's definitely not underrated...but melo is my favorite player behind Kobe...but fact of the matter is he does entirely too much iso combined with quick dribble pull ups...he would be so much better had he developed a share the wealth unselfish attitude...melo would have rings right now😔
People straight have forgotten about the 4th quarter melo factor
@@newgrowmaterial2156 no he wouldnt lmao he never had good enought teammates to win a chip
U obviously don't watch basketball bcuz he had Iverson...prime jr smith...chris Anderson...Chauncey billups...🤦🏾♂️
@@newgrowmaterial2156 lmao wtf bro how old are you he had old iverson, jr only played 1 good season on the knicks thats when he won 6th man.. chris anderson? No comment and when he played with billups the lost to kobe and the lakers in the wcf .. your buggin
1 of the top 5 scores EVER! & a unbelievably beautiful jumpshot
He is a great scorer but not top 5
Stop it.
13th to be exact
@@taiwoadebola5617 he can score in any way from anywhere on floor.
One of the best scorers the league has ever seen.
@You hate Facts stay Melo
His shooting form is quick, simple but beautiful.
How does this channel ONLY have 300 subs?! They got MELO!!

Damn Melo, I remember when u 1st came to Bmore from Brooklyn and I saw u as an 8 year old kid playing at Rob Marshall with my brother on the 11 and under. I saw the gift u had way back then. Stay blessed my G. From Wam
I remember him from Mount royal rec in Baltimore
@@samo972 With Mr Darrell
@@dandafitness1109 Love that you give Darrell his respect. He kept Melo away from the bad elements of Bmore as ling as he could
He prolly has the most iconic stroke. We know Melos’ shot when we see it
Him an ray Allen have the best shooting forms ever.
@@kasheemstephens4546 Ray allen's form is overrated honestly. Unique, but not textbook. I wouldn't want kids to learn that. He hangs too long at the top of the jump and the arc of his shot is low.
@@youngbae5187 he also his two way shot no?
Melo is the last pure hooper of a generation. He actually worked on scoring combos and counters and how to get his jab step/hard dribble release to perfection from either the post, mid range or three. And to me Melo has always had the perfect basketball body. Perfect height, not to muscular or skinny but big enough to bump wit the big guys and lean enough to blow by you if need be
But Now a days, kids are just hesi-chucking 3s
Or tween/ step back -chucking 3s
And nobody really works out no more cause you don’t need muscle to chuck 3s
ive always thought melo was kobe in lebrons body
@@paulgeorge9228that’s a good description ahhha
@@paulgeorge9228bro he does not have LeBron’s body but I kinda get what you’re trying to say
the way some people confidently say things that’s obviously not true never fails to amaze me

I was just so fascinated with this video , melo is amazing
You should see the other episodes !
@@throughthelens9164 will you guys post some more videos demonstrating moves and drills with them on CZcams I know ye have a website put it be great if ye could post some on CZcams they help a ton

Cleanest jumpshot of all-time
RAY ALLEN
@@LifeCoachJesse i dont like Rays shot honestly, he didnt get a lot of arc and he jumped straight up and down, it lacked a lot of flow as far as aesthetics go
Klay Thompson
@@LifeCoachJesse Ray allen's form is overrated honestly. Unique, but not textbook. I wouldn't want kids to learn that. He hangs too long at the top of the jump and the arc of his shot is low.
@Kevin Porter Among the best for sure, but his release point is low compared to Melo, MJ, Ray etc. very smooth tho.
Olympic Melo broke Australia’s heart.
I’ve modeled my whole playing style off Melo. He such a great baller, love the amount of time he puts into his craft 💯
Im like a Melo and Kobe hybrid but with no handles 😂
Mines too bro.
This is one of those hoop vids that should be put in a basketball video hall of fame and kept forever. Its the legacy of the sport
Great comment
Wird
Melo's Isolation game is poetry in motion.
He doesn't have a ring but still made a big impact to the game.
At least he has a high school chip, College championship. And lets no forget the only nba player with 3 Olympic gold medals!! Plus future hall of fame.
I can’t wait for them to showcase his post-up moves
RITE
Post up powerhouse
Melo is the most disrespected superstar in this generation.
Talk About it!! HALL OF FAMER at that
Superstar?
It's Paul George tho
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
NO DOUBT💯💯💯
@@Fudge_Fantasy he is no longer a superstar in year 16 but for the duration of his career absolutely
I don't care if this man ever wins a ring in Portland. I just don't want to see Melo retire. His jumpshot and setups are just pure art. One of the best scorers ever and definitely the purest one

I'm sure Melo does this quick in the game. He is one of kind, many guards couldn't shoot this smooth and beautiful.
My MELO defines "not all legends need to wear a ring" ❤️
Huge fan of Melo! Love that he’s passing gems onto the new generation.
Bro wat shoes is he wearing. I have to kno
So clean. Melos game is something idolize. Dope vid.
i ABSOLUTELY love how rudimentary this is and how you can see Melo learning while teaching and being humble through it all
The little details. This was fantastic.
His shot is perfection pure- the motion, the release..
That shooting form is just wonderful
Always my guy!! #STAYME7O
That release is epic! Grest for my son to be learning! Love ya'll keep giving us tips!
I’m glad i found this video i needed this right now. Amazing content 💯⏳⭐️🙏🏽
I really enjoyed this video. Melo’s approach has a simple, clear goal and he breaks in down in a way that is easy to understand.
They work so well with each other learning different concepts from the game and playing the game as they grow up this is how you work your craft and get to the league and get better season.
Everybody from his draft class learned that post and fade! And he has always been a great platform for post play! Hope the Portland staff is watching! Listen to the fans!
My all time favorite Sf !!!Klay Thompson needs Melo handles... just imagine 💯💯💯
Man the realization of watching greatness its humbling tbh. #LivingLegend
Ina 5 on 5 melo will always be my small forward cuz he has infinite post moves plus when he's hot from outside he is unstoppable. Stockton-Jordan-Melo-Barkley-Olajawon. GameOver ✌
Here me out, Lebron at the 1 curry at the 2 Jordan at the 3 Melo at the 4 and Shaq at the 5. you ain't stopping this
My favorite 5 is Iverson-T-Mac-Melo-Cousins-Yao. It's amazing to watch these 5 play.
Absolutely loved this video
One of the prettiest jump shot ever, just beautiful.

Such great knowledge thank you!
This is a really great series. Interviewing while on the practice court makes a big difference with these guys as you get to see Melo break his game down. Gotta be honest, wish the presenter was a bit more enthusiastic and lively in general, but this is quality.
His shot is just so adaptable and pure. That release is lightning
Mr Baltimore I support you from day one ☝🏽

This is an amazing video. Melo is a master.
Imma follow this channel now cause in a year or so it’s gonna blow up
I wished someone trained me on those quick releases when I was in high school. You gotta learn from a living legend like Carmelo Anthony.
Melo changed my entire view of playing the game when I was a kid watching him at Syracuse. Instantly became my favorite player and I adapted a lot of my game to be like him. I practiced the jab and rip thru pull up endlessly!
Illest triple threat ever
Smoothest jumper of all time 🔥 best shooting form of all time because how he doesn’t fully extend his arms but still gets the shot off with a defender close up on him.
One of the best and smooth jumper❤

Phenomenally skilled player. Always enjoyed his shooting form. Never his lack of ability to be part of a Team but I have to give him credit for how he developed his shooting game.
After that first pound and raise up in the first drill Melo was explaining to everybody i almost got up and ran laps man this guy's hand eye coordination is out of this world are you kidding me
