Installing a Rain Chain Installation Kit

- We recommend using an installation kit with all Rain Chains because they greatly increase the functionality of the rain chains during rain storms.
The installation kit you choose to use might look slightly different than the ones pictured here, but the installation process will remain mostly the same for all installation kits. Follow the button below to learn more about the different types and styles of installation kits.

Install Steps:
1. Confirm that your installation kit will fit in your gutter
2. Drill a 2 1/4" hole in your gutter
3. Determine if the extra flange is needed
4. Spread caulk around flange
a. Completely cover if using a copper install kit
5. Place the installation kit in your gutter
6. Connect Rain Chain to the installation kit

Hello - very good video. Question - you mentioned that the hole should be drilled to 2 1/4 but the actual hole you show is much larger. Can you explain? I'm installing the kit myself this weekend and would like to know. Thank you for the help.
Thanks, good amount of caulk is important. Caulk here, caulk there, caulk everywhere.,
Not sure why the attachment of the actual rain chain itself was missed from this video! e.g. At 1:12 it cuts from the cross bar being attached to showing us the finished effort with water pouring down...
Otherwise looks like a decent kit to ensure a decent amount of water can flow on to the chain initial. We've moved into a property with a rain and I'm pretty sure its been installed incorrectly - the top rung of the chain sits across the hole in the gutter and barely any amount of leaves / debris is required before it clogs up. The hole in this looks much better.
How do you cut the hole in the gutter
