I love that he brought up it wasn't a new concept and gave some credit to the Japanese 🥰💗

To keep the chain from moving you secure it on the bottom. I went to Lowes and picked up copper chain under $3.00 and tied it to a rock underneat. Two rain storms and no movement and functioned perfectly. You can add a basin to catch for $30.00. I am cheap.

What they do not tell you is what about heavy rain. Bad! See CZcams video showing one in heavy rain,it changed my mind.

Is wind a problem for these? I can just imagine a thunderstorm blowing this around, or blowing water right off it as it flows down.

Not at all. We sell light chain to use at the bottom to secure rain chains, or you can purchase chain as mentioned below. They chains move around less than you'd think.

In the video, Matt Rogers says that the plain chain splashes, so do not use it near windows. Other sites say the heavy rains & wind do cause problems like foundation seepage.

Don’t waste your money , is decorative item , in a real shower or thunderstorm it will fail.

Look nice, but I will never replace my gutter by these. Not good for the foundation

Saraswati H , we have an underground drainage system, or have it empty in to a water tank

What this video didn’t show is what your supposed to do so the water won’t harm your foundation! You can use landscaping rocks that you pile up higher by the house so it will run off & the water an be directed that way to a garden farther away from the house! I think it’s called a water garden, it’s very environmentally friendly! You can also make a fountain feature at the bottom but you do have to make sure that what ever you do you must make it so the water runs away from the house & so it doesn’t go in the storm drains! It’s like recycling rainwater! That was any pest asides won’t get in the storm drains that end up in the drinking water! I just watched one of those Holmes Makes It Right & he installed them on a home with rock beds at the bottom & he went through the whole process! It’s a little complicated to do but so worth it when finished! These guys in this video aren’t much help! They blatantly just want to sell the rain chains with out teaching how to install it other than at the gutter & they dont tell you how to make the ground area so it won’t ruin your foundation! But if you learn correctly, instead of just buying a rain chain you will be pleasantly surprised!

I'd be really nice to listen to how soothing and tranquil they must sound... instead of having those yammering squakboxes blathering on and on throughout 100% of the video.

    rendered useless when its windy

  • @punchabunchofbuttons214

Its all good until its heavy rain and this doesn't have enough flow... then it makes the money you spent on your gutter system is irrelevant.
