Excellent narration! Nice-n-short. Beautiful garden. We have a River Birch just like yours, same age & amazing growth! She’s out by the stream, happily spreading out… hard to believe we once brought her home in the car 😄🥰🌳
Great job Joshua, all the surrounding plants thank you.
Do you watch Garden Answer😊? She is very sweet too! Very similar. Just planted four of these, and you had the best info on how to train these things!!! Rewind!!! Thanks.
The color of the birch’s bark is gorgeous and the red bud is stunning with its red leaves!
It looks so much better! I actually like the more naked trunk look to enjoy that beautiful bark. (Shh! Don’t tell the Birch arborists/enthusiasts though! 😂)
Birch trees also take coppicing really well when done young.
It looks good.
Love your show !!!
Hi Joshua. I just found your channel. I planted some clump river birches last year. I really want to shape the trees so they only have one trunk. Is that ok? Do you have a recommendation on how to accomplish?
Do you have to worry about removing 25% or more will weaken the tree?
I wouldn’t remove more than about 30% of the tree if you can help it, otherwise it may start to damage the tree
