- Join us on the second part of our Motorcycle Journey on the Dempster Highway in Canada's remote north (Yukon and Northwest Territories).
In this episode, we get to experience surreal landscapes, ride mountain roads into the clouds, and ride across awe inspiring vast expanses of tundra.
Top it off with a little camping in the wild by a bubbling river in northern Northwest Territories and you have an amazing adventure. Hey, there is even backwoods chocolate cheese cake to be had! :)

2:04 that is a deal considering how far they need to cart the gas in. And if I filled the gas tank on my motorcycle, it would run CA$65. I put CA$97.35 that got me 26.01L in Germany last summer, so CA$65 is a smokin deal. One of my flying students who happened to buy his first motorcycle at 53 drove up to Prudhoe Bay and then turned around and drove to the tip of South America, arriving there for Christmas to meet up with other RTW travellers.

Sure is pretty in the north of Canada. Nature at its best, mountains, lakes , rivers, wild life. Canada has it all. That chocolate dessert looked delicious. Take care, safe riding, we are waiting for you in New Brunswick.

I’ve truly enjoyed following your trip through these-thanks for taking time to document and share. I’d be really curious to hear your take on how the 890 Duke performed. Anything you’d do differently in terms of parts and accessories you equipped? Would you do a similar trip with it again or opt for a different bike? Maybe a short video on your thoughts?

Hi to New Zealand!👋 I did it in late August. Essentially their fall/autumn. I’m not a fan of mosquitoes and wanted to see the fall colours. Rain is always a risk but we managed to get decent weather!🙂
@@pavechaser thanks for the reply. I was planning mid June to early July but after watching your ride I’m having second thoughts now . August appeals to me as well. The colours were fantastic and like you say the bugs not so much. I’ll be doing it on a budget coming from New Zealand therefore camping is going to be my major accommodation option. @@pavechaser We did it August 10-22 last August as well. Weather was fantastic although we did get heavy rain last hour of the day on our first day on the Dempster and the next when we pulled into Eagle Plains. You want to be on knobbies when it rains hard for sure.

@PaveChaser they say that now but shipping rates are at the lowest I have ever seen in 35yrs and fuel the highest, they usually move together not opposite
I was more referring to with only one restaurant in town, they can pretty much charge what they want! 😆
