  • COSATU - says it is shocked that the ANC went ahead with the swearing in of former Sports Minister Zizi Kodwa as a Member Parliament.
    Kodwa resigned from his position earlier this month after being formally charged with corruption. The charges follow recommendations in the State Capture Commission Report implicating him in corruption for alleged bribery.
    For more on the story lets bring in Cosatu Parliamentary Coordinator, Matthew Parks via Teams

    Guys ... As a sensible human being ... that is your new COSATU of today ... what can they do to the ANC if not just to be shocked ... even chocked ... Their role as an alliance partner is now just to vote and get money ... as well as to just react and ignoring to what is happening in the house of the ANC ... like leave me alone ...
    Maybe the saying of the ANC of CR is somehow meaningful ... and reflections of note ...

All of this called Trippatite Alliance partners are accomplaces i.e Cosatu , Sacp , Sanco e.t c are on payroll of C.R 17 bank Bosasa billions . Today nothing is being done by Cosatu & Friends regarding Workers rights . We still speaks of Labour Brokers after 30yrs of new despensation . In fact Leadership within Alliance are owners of most of them . Sacp of today i.e Nzimandes , Mapailas , Losies e.t.c are Diractors of number of Big Componies . @geguieffawilliams Před 2 dny

      @user-kj4hr7wd2o the only time one should be required to step aside is if one has been convicted. In some cases if they are unable to focus and do the job of the people, they should consider what’s best for the people.
      Understand, charges and a requirement to then step down, makes it too easy to get an opposing view out of the way. It makes it far too easy to get someone who isn’t liked out of the way.

    • @cazola247

    • @geguieffawilliams
      @geguieffawilliams Před 2 dny

      @cazola247 if that becomes the process, one’s opposition would just need to create a scandal, press for charges, regardless of how frivolous and then they would have that individual out of the way.
      A charge is not enough. A charge sometimes could be less about an impending prosecution, but instead an ongoing persecution.

    Never underestimate the attacks of the propaganda machine. Never underestimate the lengths that the wicked will go. Never underestimate how low they will go. Smearing is their greatest tool of choice.
    Again, a charge, an allegation, isn’t a conviction.
    It can be a tool used by the opposition, by the haters, to eliminate someone whom they don’t support.
    Innocent until proven guilty. Proven guilty by a court of law. Not through a smear campaign. Not by talking heads.

    • @geguieffawilliams
      @geguieffawilliams Před 2 dny

      @cheznone9296 this isn’t about one’s integrity. This is about understanding that an allegation that leads to a charge is not a conviction. It’s not a prosecution, it could instead though be a means of persecution. No one should lose a position nor step aside because of a “Charge”.

    • @cheznone9296
      @cheznone9296 Před 2 dny

      @@geguieffawilliams I disagree. When a charge is laid, there has to be some form of evidence presented. It then is up to police to get proof that said accusation can be proved. If they can’t satisfy the court that proof doesn’t match up then case dismissed.. I think that’s procedurally fair. The step aside rule allows the incumbent to keep out of the investigation and still get paid with all perks until investigations are finished. I am truly aware of the propaganda involved in smearing people’s names. I think to step aside also gives the accused time to gather evidence to clear his name. BUT while a case is pending the position allocation should stand as pending and an urgent case brought forward for hearing. That way the people are satisfied. People = voters, who are sick to death of graft.finally if it was up to me - the Dr comes across as intelligent and someone who can gate keep. I hope he is innocent and assumes his role as a guide towards the betterment of this country.
