It's good to know that the majority of the world is understanding but that one person can ruin your day if we allow it. I taught my son to pray for each person who hurts our feelings. Our Lord is healing my son each day. Praise God!

@blkrfleb9718 Sadly not all stepfathers or stepmothers care about their wife's or husband's kids from a previous marriage. (I know having been the step child to a stepfather who felt I was "in the way" and made that known to me from a young age.) This was after he adopted me even, most likely because my mother wanted him to. So I applaud the steps who are good parents in spite of the kids not being theirs biologically. I was treated like an outcast many times by him when I was a young child, although as I got older his behavior towards me did get better, but the emotional damage of not being loved or cared about by him had already been done to me when I was little.
This mans voice, his body movements, his tears. They’re all so real. The love is so real for these kids. I hope he finds peace and a family that is full of love.

Update: as of August 26th 2023 he still is in both children’s life. I found him Facebook and he’s one of the proudest step-in fathers to both children. They’re constantly with him and he’s at every school event watching them grew up to be some of the most well rounded, intelligent, playful children that they can be. He does suffer from some mental health issues where things still don’t make sense but he’s working through it. He his also doing a mghtly fine job as a chef might I add.

You can see he has a lot of heart and like he said about the daughter, "two years you cant just take away." Sure it will take some counseling and therapy, but those babies are still going to call him daddy and I'm sure he would want nothing less.

Update he has full custody of both them and has a go fund me on his fb … it take a kind hearted person to take full responsibility of kids that are not biological theirs .. his kids will be so happy for him when they get older
