It's not a 3 stage filter it's a pressurised vessel it looks like a big blue only smaller and cheaper and you wouldn't have the trouble you had with the 4 inch pipe
Vyair 11 litre water filter vessel are quite cheap I have 2 that I added carbon they are so much cheaper than big blues you can buy them empty and just add your own carbon
