EPWP beneficiaries call for accelerated allocation of resources

Beneficiaries of the Extended Public Works Programme in the Eastern Cape have called for additional resources to be allocated to the programme in order for them to reach their full potential in acquiring their skills. The programme is a national, government-driven initiative which was launched in 2004 to promote the creation of work opportunities that contribute towards the reduction of unemployment and alleviation of poverty in the country.
