They are basically the same train, but pay attention to the train car number and the small CBTC thing behind the cabs of A cars.

@@TrainLover-wt9ix you'll only find the CBTC thingamajigs on the 7 only, you have to be in an "A" car. Or in other words the first, fifth, sixth, and eleventh cars

I'm not from new York but I don't think the N Q and W run on the lower level

Here's the thing. Queensboro Plaza has two levels. The upper level is for all trains going northbound (Main St, Astoria Ditmars Blvd). The lower level is for all trains going southbound (Hudson Yards, Whitehall Street, Coney Island).
