Am I the only one that noticed how much faster that the 800 cleared the lane, to me that equates getting the job done more efficiently and as well faster. Time equals $$$
Yea for sure I didn’t notice it till I was walking around the lawn blowing the leaves then you can really tell
@@CutandCleanTV Great video by the way, keep em' coming!
also the 800 path actually looked wider as well but the speed difference was huge
Yah Swamp Fox Picks the 800 killed it on how fast it cleared the lane. Clearly you would hope that equates to clearing the yard much faster.
Great video cut and clean.
The 800 looks like it cleared a wider longer path in half the time due to more force
Great video guys, I've had a BR 800 for about 3 weeks ,I traded in a red max 8500 ,I work in the north east and we have had a lot of rain this year, the big test for me was wet leaves and the Sthil was a beast so much better than the red max way to go Sthil
Thanks for the video, ive been using a bg50 blower or similar for 15 years with my lawn service and finally decided to get a br800 backpack blower after watching this video yhos morning, the ability to stand in one spot and clean a whole property makes me giggle like a school girl, thanks for the video and advice guys
Just bought the br800x. First leaf blower I ever used. I like it!
Thanks for the video! When you mentioned people wanting to talk to you while your out there getting the job done, and having to remove the backpack blower to restart, for me….that is one of the more vexing areas of customer baby sitting!
Great video on the 2 blowers. Comfort and features is what I am looking for. I was told by the Stihl rep that you can order the harness separately and will fit on the 700X
Andy you cleared that lane in the side by side comparison in 1/4 of the time, for the snow removal guys out there the 800 is going to be an added bonus with that MPH
Need to get me a br800 this fall!
Thanks fellas!gonna wait for the echo 8010
I will be able to tell when I use it to clear snow.
I have a both the 700 and 800 and at first didn’t really notice a difference. But going from the 700 to the 800 in the middle of a leaf clean up the 800 hands down moves the leaves further, faster and easier then the 700
B&B doin the Shadow Choke on ya😜Loved it
Looks like they are almost the same moving leaves, features (hip support, side start) are the real difference. That said I would say that side start is worth the upgrade.
I'd love to try one but there not coming to Canada until spring. I'd like to see them put the hip belt on the 700's as they are heavy.
Excellent evaluation and demonstration Spot on!
when I saw the Br800 at the dealer 2 weeks ago I was so tempted to buy one even tho I don't need one since my Br700 is fairly new ...lol
It’s hard not to buy the New Thing! Lol
Looks like with the 700, you need to walk with the pile to keep it moving at the same pace as the 800 while with the 800 you can just stand and it moves. 800's performance seem a lot like the Redmax 8500/Husky 580
Hay Andy great video keep them coming.
Should have swapped sides afterward to see if the 800 could push the 700s lane any further.
So thank you for making the video that's good information got a question how's that side starter holding up I'm thinking about buying an 800 myself and just trying to do some research
So I’m a landscaper in Phoenix AZ and I’m trying to decide if I want to purchase one of these. We don’t have the leaf drop as back east. Mainly crushed rock and minor trimmings from bushes. Worth the purchase?
definitely a feature I would pay a little extra for
Would love to see a comparison between the Redmax ebz7500 and the stihl br800c - As the EBZ7500 has more of the same specs as the stihl br800c -
Can you do an updated video. Of how is the side start doing after one year of use.
The 700 and 800 are the best blowers I have ever ran in 15 years
Fuel capacity differences noticed?
Very curious to see how the side start stands time! Nice video guys!
I have an 1Ac lot w/ 6 mature oaks, 5 dogwoods 8 crepe myrtles. my leaf problem is total SUCKville. My thinking is Go big as possible w/ a back pack. IE the BR 800 20 fighting this problem Am I wrong?
here come all the redmax echo and husky comments. nice vid. hardly noticed the popping noise even with some razr headphones on.
Everyone’s got a preference!
Thanks man!
I’d probably stick with the trusty BR600 till the 700 and 800 has more history. We run our BR600s probably around 800 hrs per year and they end up lasting 4 years no problem. When we were testing them out at our dealers spring open house where STHIL showed up with their trailer I didn’t notice much of a difference between the 600, 700, or 800.
The lighter weight of the 600 and 700 are also a plus during spring and fall when workers are wearing a blower 40hrs per week doing clean ups.
Is there a versus 800 echo and Stihl 800
When will it be coming out?
Did gravley give you that mower?
I bought the stihl Br800x last week and I keep telling myself why didn't I buy a powerful backpack sooner! Using corded electric for the last 20 years, wrist hurts,no power, dragging a stupid cord around.
Kevin, why didn't you get the 800C?
Was I the only one that noticed Blake’s dinosaur hand shadow??
That’s what made me stop taking for a second... I couldn’t figure out what he was doing lol
That was hilarious.
Ok so the 800 moves the leaves faster than the 700 but is it worth the extra money and the extra weight? He said that the 800 is more comfortable than the 700 so maybe the weight isnt an issue...? I have (2) BR700's and I'm looking at getting an 800 for leaf removal season this year... To me if the blower can move each pile of leaves in a yard faster from A to B then I dont have to work the blower as much which means less fatigue for me ... and I finish sooner and get paid and move onto the next job. I've learned that if a peice of equipment makes your job a little bit easier every time you use it...its worth whatever it costs. Thats my 2 cents!!
Better to have and not need, than to need and not have...
I would not do leaf cleanup with a hand blower. I just can't see a lawn care business without a nice powerful backpack blower if leaf cleanup is in their line of business. I'm a homeowner and I went with a commercial backpack blower because I only wanted to do this one time.
Question: How long can that tube extend? It seems short. Or do you like the shorter tube length?
Every gen will only be a tiny bit better so if you have last gen it won’t be enough to buy it but if you are 3+ gens behind it will be worth it, I have a husky 150BT that does the job, will be upgrading to the 800c and stick with that one for about 3yrs and then upgrade again over and over
Yep every company is always trying to out do itself!
Thanks for the informative video. I just got my 800 last week after using a 450 daily for the last two-three years for work and home. At first I wasn't really impressed but now totally dig it!
I think the "scream" of the 450 at full throttle sounded like it was pushing more air than it was compared to the 4 stroke engine if the 800 which sounds like it's just cruising at high throttle, that alone really threw me off until thinking more about the design
The 800 slays the 450 in every way really. And despite the 800 being a whole 1kg heavier it actually feels lighter just due to the weight distribution and better straps I feel. Great piece of kit
Always fun to see you two working together. Competition and friends good combo.
hey nice review brother, want to get me one for clearing mtb trails, what's the runtime on if pinned full throttle haha...??
I think they are overkill for that, i use a handheld blower for my trails, sure some more power wouldn't hurt, so i would recommend something on the level of the br 420, you can get one used for much cheaper and it's full of repair videos and spare parts around
The big side by side difference I saw was the speed it blew the leaves out of the way.
Do the Stihl dealers have the BR 800X in stock?
Cut and Clean...is it worth it to upgrade to the BR800? I have the BR700. Nice blower but I do find that the lack of airspeed weakens the blower's performance when you are trying to move leaves out of flower beds and when you have large piles of leaves and debris. I was thinking of upgrading to the BR800 this spring.
IF your 700 is in good enough condition to sell it used for 75-85% of what it cost new, I would sell it and grab an 800. Can't go wrong with having the highest MPH of all commercial blowers with a still very respectable 912 cfm to back it up.
The 700 is 34N and the 800 is 41N which right there shows you which blower will move more debris faster, as well as the practicality of having that extra MPH when you need it.
Nice vid, thanks for sharing. For a normal home owner who likes to blow leaves, such as myself, can I ask you a quick question? I am looking to upgrade a really old blower and am trying to decide between waiting for the BR800 or picking up the BR600. I will mainly be blowing mostly dry leaves in the fall and grass in the Summer. Between the 800 and 600 (Not really interested in the 700), would you say one is a lot more comfortable and do you notice a lot more power coming from the 800 for these basic tasks?
A lot more notice in power from 600 to 800 both are great blowers can’t go wrong with either
@@CutandCleanTV Thanks!
I own the 600. Is it worth the upgrade to the 800 c? Most of my clean ups are pine straw (wet.)
Tried both . I like my br600 better . More compact and lighter on the back. Cheers
🤘🤘🤘🤘
I want to see the BR800 hit heavily packed, thick, wet leaves and break them up. The 600 will still beat both the 700 and 800 in that category from what I have read.
The 600 only has around 700cfm but Hugh mph, while the 800 has a higher cfm and the same (or more) higher mph. The 800 would perform better than the 600, as it stands we use primarily maruyama BL9000s and they work pretty good, I’m still more of a stihl person though.
How about moving really big piles of leaves? I can only get so far with my 600 before breaking out the rake and tarp. Would the 800 make a significant difference?
I notice a great difference between the 600-800
@@CutandCleanTV - thanks for your quick reply and great video
@@tadbyrum7053 Keep in mind it will only move so much more. I just did a huge leaf job with my new 800X and with almost all wet leaves I hit a brick wall once the pile was 24-30 inches deep and had to break out the rake and tarp. It depends on the distance though of course. I had to move mine about 250' to get to the woods. If the distance was much smaller I could have taken the time to blow them. I had no problem blowing 12-18" of wet leaves the whole 250'.
The 600 is blowing 32N versus 41N on the 800...so, use that as a guide to estimate how much more the 800 will move.
Good stuff
I will go with the 800 looks better works better.
I have been a real dummy and put Aspen 4 (thinking this was 4 stroke, but it’s 4-MIX and 2 stroke) in my newly bought (second hand, but it’s 2021 model) br800c. Ironically in a bid to use better fuel to look after the engine. It ran fine for an hour. Then a week later I realised my mistake, drained the tank and replaced with Aspen 2. In now starts with a lot of effort, runs ok, but then dies when idling. Then will not start up again.
Can any one please give me any advice, have I ruined the engine or is there a remedy for my stupidity?? Thank you very much to anyone who can offer any advice
Ahhh , Lawn porn , You gotta love it ! Thanks for the comparison , you guys rock !
Thanks for the review jimmy Australia
By now they should have 20v battery with starter and push button.
I'm a mechanical guy so I want you or someone to explain to me how you can say 2 blowers with the identical CFM , (912) to be exact, have different amounts of power.......
Air speed makes a difference, you need volume and speed. Br600 has high mph but lower cfu than br700 so br600 will be better for some situations and br700 will be better for others. Br600 for wet leaves stuck to tarmac and beds where you need good control, br700 for large amounts in dry leaves and areas where control isn't too much of an issue. Br800 is supposed to be the best of both, high mph and cfu. Unfortunately I wont be able to find out as I'm in the UK and stihl isn't going to release the br800 into the UK market for another 12 month's....if at all!!
Sacrifice a little power for more comfort works for me.
How is your lawn business doing? I think I’m closing mine due to lack of growth
I would imagine you don't HAVE to start it while it's on your back every time...You could still start it while it's on the ground then put it on..and if you have to kill and restart while wearing, then do so.
the leaf test was a solid good test.
Siskel and Ebert LOL
i can side start the 700 but you gotta have the 800 for the real side start... its so annoying if u cant twist your arm enough to sidestart the 700 if people come to talk to you all the time if in a public park or something and have to ask them to start it for ya because you just got it to sit right
The BR800x is there same machine without the side start and it weighs less then the 700 - so why not have the more power when you need it - Cheers
Sold on the 800
Just got 2 new br 700s still great blowers 600s are as well they last forever we actually have had our600s stolen but would probabaly still have them if not for thieves
We had stuff stolen too !!.
Damn crackheads look for lawn care companies and then wait for the perfect opportunity to steal what they have so they can sell it for more drugs.
Damn pawn shops around here are full of lawn care equipment and they don't even bother asking questions of where it came from.
Just last fall season I said one of my blower down and went into the backyard to pick up my coffee and by the time I got around to the front of the house some crackhead was getting out of his car facing my blower and then when he seen me he jumped back in and took off.
Roofing friend of mine had a air compressor stolen right off the back of his pickup truck while they were on the other side of the roof nailing shingles, he said they lost their power and so he went up over the roof and some a****** was taking off with his air compressor !
@@Grasshopper80s4ever yeh i just thro a thin cable threw anything good and lock with a side number lock 123 works good .. too many low lives around stealing now
I love my 700
Me too it’s a great blower!
And I got a stihl FS 131r trimmer have u tried that it’s a beast
I have not, I’m running a 94r and 111rx right now
@@CutandCleanTV love the 94r👍
👍🤝
Ive got the BR700 and after watching this... unless the 800 is like $50 more I think I'll stick with my BR700. However I think the BR800 is much more than the bR700. Does anybody what the cost of the 800 is?
it’s like $650
The 800 was substantial faster, I think for doing tree work with a lot of debris or leaves the 800 would perform better then the 700
this blower br800 is unfortunately a big disappointment. I expected a lot more power. It is maybe 10 pricent more powerful than the BR700. For me it is quite a disappointment and I am considering selling it
You need to time it. If one clears the path in 2 seconds and the other does it in 10 that’s where the difference will be
Got a 600 magnum about to pick up a 700 tomorrow. 👍
I got a br700 a few months ago and that thing is just a beast pure and simple. I'm thinking of giving it to my dad and getting a br800 myself.
I'd still walk in and grab br600s all day....
BR 600 what I've been running for years with no problems.
Dealership is pushing me really hard to buy the new 800 but I was not impressed with the 700.
Have you had a chance to use the 800?
I WANT THE STIHL BR 800 I WANT THE ECHO 8010 I WANT THE HUSKY 580 LETS SEE I ALREADY HAVE THE REDMAX 8500 🤔🤔 😂😂
This video BLOWS Bwaa haaaaaa haaaaa
Got that right!
4:13 😂
why not a redmax 7500 put that to the test with the Br 800
I don’t personally have any redmax products
@@CutandCleanTV try it you never know
I’ve ran the 8500 for a little while just prefer Stihl products due to dealer location
I was looking for a lightweight blower for my deck. czcams.com/users/postUgkxgioZQl3J5wPGAeDINzbieKbT5qomSEx3 There are some huge trees around my house and the leaves and pods drop all over my deck. Having to move furniture around to sweep has become too big a chore. This blower was the answer. It is light enough for this 70yr old lady and powerful enough to blow all the tree droppings off my rather large deck. Thank you B&D. Be aware the cord is not included. I use a 3 prong outdoor cord 25' cord for my 12' x 20' deck. The cord retainer works very well, but don't try to pass the plug through it. That is NOT how it works. You just have to loop the cord and it works great. One of my best purchases. Very happy.
I got a feeling echo will blow stihl away !
The br 800 has more power, cfms,a whole lot bigger blower, about time tax, sale price, you could got the 800
Redmax ha s a bigger blower in development. it took stihl and echo 7 years to catçh up once the new Redmax. comes Out. not the 8550 the 9500 it will take all others years to catch up
Stihl offers a lap belt and chest belt for the BR600. For the price, lighter weight, less fuel consumption and about the same nozzle speed as the BR800 the Value is the BR600. But that side starter is just tits. And just maybe enough for me to trade up. Good video, thanks.
P
Its all about sensationalism lol stihl know they can put out the br 800 even if its pretty much the same as the br700 and every one will rush out to buy it because its the newest and greatest thing
That's exactly what I was thinking.... they give it a tiny tiny tiny little bit more horsepower and call it a new name.
I have a BR700 and just bought the Echo 8010 and the Echo kills the Stihl. Everything I own is Stihl so I'm kinda biased. The Echo does better on wet grass and heavier debris than the BR700.
All you guys on CZcams with these "professional" companies crack me up.
Br 800 exist ? On the Web site stihl.fr exist not.
Worst blower I have ever seen
You can’t be serious? In the side-by-side tester, the 800 moves the leaves faster, wider, and further than the 700. It was noticeable to us watching.
