The statement about the S Pen being integrated being a huge plus is so true! I've had the Note 3 (nice) and Note 4 (Absolutely amazing phone!) and loved the S Pen. For some applications it is just extremely useful.

Really looking forward to the S22. I hope Samsung can make it more power efficient now that they work with AMD for the chips. Apple really is the best when it comes to low power consumption. Battery life was not good with my previous Galaxy Note 10 Plus, but with my current iPhone 12 Pro Max it's great. The iPhone is definitely not flawless though, I'm selling it for a Galaxy S10 to have as my main phone until the S22 comes out, and then have the S10 as my spare phone. I just got a used Galaxy S10 for only 200 euros, and it was just repaired at Samsung with a new screen and battery, so that was a steal. Probably getting close to 900 euros for the iPhone which then in february can be spent on the S22 =)

@@Verefara. Some parts of ios are so well put together and flawless, while other parts are are incredibly frustrating. The fact that there isn't a system gesture for going backwards makes things so slow. You have to swipe back from the left side to go backwards, and that is built in to most apps. The other times you have to press the back arrow up in the left corner to go backwards in an app. Animations feel slow compared to android, and the quick settings panel is frustrating to use when changing things like bluetooth or wifi. I haven't found a way to customize the keyboard, the smiley button is far down in the left corner making it near impossible to text with one hand. The phone (12 pro max) is very heavy in my opinion, not to mention the 13 pro max, you can feel the weight difference easily between them. I wish there was an aluminium version instead of steel for the pro max model. Other than that, it's not nice at all to hold because of the sharp edges. I only use it with an apple leather magsafe case, which feels alright. It sure does feel very premium though, and looks really good! Sometimes you want to download files on your device, to further share them in different ways, apple has made it sometimes impossible to do that too, so the system is still so limited. There are lots of great things about the iphone, but some just make you annoyed when you come from the android world. The battery has never failed me in one day use with the 12 pro max when used from 100% in the morning. I don't think the new note will either. If you value having a 2 day battery life over everything else, get the 13 pro max!

In my opinion, this design looks like a portable battery with cameras on it.
100% agree about software optimization being the key. I was HYPED for the Pixel 6 pro, like i bought a case before i had ordered a phone, joined phone communities...and then i started seeing the reports about the bugs and issues started being reported.
As much as people tried to gaslight the reporting these problems it kept coming up time and again. The one statement i laughed at was oh give it a year for them to get it optimized and it will be the best...so the Pixel 6 isnt a 2021 phone then? Even though it went up for sale in October.

I’ve been so tempted to get an s21 ultra to jump into android and get away from apple. I knew the s22 was coming, so I wanted to wait and see what the differences could/would be. It doesn’t seem that different then say if you got the current note or s21 ultra tbh. The speed may be a smidge more but not enough to worry about in daily performance. I’m not super tech savvy though.

Just for clarification, ray tracing as a technology has been around for decades, and has been used in films for just as long.
What Samsung would be implementing would be real time ray tracing, which wasn’t possible in the past because of how much processing power it requires. Real time ray tracing has been commercially accessible since 2018 on PC hardware.
I don't think real rime ray tracing will be a thing on mobile for quite a while. Even 400 W graphics cards are still struggling with it ... on Desktop we still need to wait a few more generations until it's as optimised as rasterisation

Your entire camera point feels spot on to me. I have the S21 Ultra and I still miss how my pictures looked on my old Nokia Lumia 920 Windows Phone. The hardware was actually good. The pictures on my S21 look better on my phone, and in some cases on my PC, but those old Nokia pics actually always looked amazing on my PC and when you pixel peep they felt more like a traditional camera image than a digitally messed with image.
One day we'll actually get a flagship with real hardware, but to your point, I don't see any of these major companies doing it..... Here's to hoping Nokia gets back into the flagship market :/
Nokia can't return for now but about camera. They can improve the software enough to make it look what it is like. Oems try to bump the numbers but there is lot more like optics, focal lengths etc. Some physics that they don't include but not trying to fully compensate with software. With what they have if they tweak it better from hardware and then up to software. Samsung have more chances than any other in the market.

Ray tracing is useless feature that is too computationally expensive for a few generations. RTX 30 series can barely give decent RT.

Ray tracing isn’t about how good it looks. As it’s hard to tell the difference now on good rasteration. It’s to make it easier for game developers to do lighting and different scenes without changing everything as it was all hard coded.
no its also about how good it looks, its almost imposible to get lighting to look as good as it does with ray tracing. it takes a huge perfomance hit though so idk if its worth.
If you have a huge excess of graphics power like the RTX 3000 series it is definitely worth it but a phone simply has no chance of getting close to the required power for it. There is also the fact that AMD's raytracing cores are inferior to Nvidia's.
Probably gonna be at least 5 years for there to even be a chance to get more than 3 FPS on a phone

The technology between raytracing-optimized cores isn't only useful in games, it can potentially be used in conjunction with their cameras, or even better, with augmented reality.
Actually no.
Ray tracing cores (amd, Nvidia, or intel based) are also pretty good at other visual processing tasks. Even if it isn't real-time, it gives the ability to utilize that technology to say, upscale a photo or video with FSR after it's recorded.

THIS VIDEO AGED INCREDIBLY WELL 👌 - Almost every bit of info was spot on. Well, Virtual RAM is up to 8 GB, Vs 4, and Arun didn't actually say 16 would be available, but this is picking of the nits. Fantastic set of pre-release info points 👉
The ram plus option is similar to one on the vivo v21e that I have. In which you can use 4gb of storage and turn in into to ram so it becomes 12 gb of ram
The fact that Samsung is collaborating with AMD almost makes me wish I could get the Exynos version.

I love the note series I still have a note 9. I truly love it but definitely due for an upgrade. I haven't been excited bout recently but this is appealing
I like the squareness of the display on the samsungs, I'm a bit fed up that all new phones tend to be longer and longer, but also much narrower than my old phone that im using again after my newer phone broke.
