    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
    Eddie (Richard Schiff) is ripped apart by two hungry Tyrannosaurs.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
    Just when you'd think that scientists would realize dinosaurs and humans don't mix, along comes The Lost World: Jurassic Park to prove you wrong. In this sequel, John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) summons chaos theorist and onetime colleague Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) to his home with some startling information -- while nearly everything at his Jurassic Park had been destroyed, engineers were also operating a second site, where other dinosaurs, resurrected through DNA cloning technology, had been kept in hiding. Hammond has learned the dinosaurs on the second island are alive and well and even breeding; Hammond wants Malcolm to observe and document the reptiles before Hammond's financiers can get to them. Malcolm declares he had enough of the dinosaurs the first time out, but decides to make the trip when he finds out that his girlfriend, paleontologist Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore), is already there. However, Ian and Sarah aren't the only visitors expected on the island; a camera crew led by ecological activist Nick Van Owen (Vince Vaughn) is on the way, as is Roland Tembo (Pete Postlethwaite), a world-class wild game hunter who is supposed to round up the dinosaurs and who hopes to bag a prehistoric trophy for himself in the process. This sequel to Jurassic Park boasted even more impressive special effects than the first film, though the acting and screenplay aren't always at the same level.

      The 2 T- Rexes would have attacked Sarah and Nick in any case even if Sarah and Nick had keeped the injured baby- T inside the van , as they realised that those 2 human beings had kidnapped their baby.

    Funny thing is, all the horrible carnage could´ve been avoided if it wasn´t for the heroes trashing the InGen camp. The greenpeace dipshit even emptied Roland´s gun, which caused even more people to end up in Rex´s belly. Considering that Ludlow didn´t even originally plan on bringing carnivors to the mainland, it kinda raises the question who are the actual bad guys here?

    You know the scariest thing to me about Jurassic Park deaths to me?
    The humans are screaming their heads off, out of sheer terror and then with a quick movement their scilenced. I mean thats just errie to me. The humans are so entitled in a way almost in denile that there about to die and then the dio silences them in such a casual way. Like it meant literally nothing to them.
    It's humbling in todays day and age. Nature can be boutiful, but also damn merciless. The humans suddenly go from alpha predator to a snack. It's almost insulting to see how easily they dispose of the humans...but also scarry accurate.

    I get the impression that the T-rex was overpowered as an animal in its own respect lol. That's probably why it had little ass arms: they probably didn't serve a crucial purpose in survival, so evolution was like "*slams hands on desk* ok guys we're gonna have to shrivel up T-rex's arms to give the other guys a chance."

    • @valen123456
      @valen123456 Před 9 lety +6

      Chris Archie The process of evolution does not give everything involved a chance, "animals are how they are because they need to be in order to remain where they are". It is does not try to balance out the predator-prey arms races. If they do not adapt they die out. If an animal has a new trick that lets it win, then it will go on winning even if doing so will eventually kill it, or everything else.
      Actually there is some interesting new evidence that infant and sub-adult tyrannosaurids (the entire family not just T.Rex) actually started out with well developed arms and comparatively small skulls but as they matured the arms just developed less as the skull "over-grew". As babies they could and did use their arms, but once they hit "puberty" (for lack of a better word) the skull development went into overdrive, while the arms remained small to counterbalance the huge skull. Their success as predators lay in the bite, and T.Rex took this to the best adapted level giving it one of if not the most powerful bite of any animal on earth.
      An interesting fact is that most other big theropods that hunted really big prey (like Acrocanthrosaurus which is now believed to have been a specialist sauropod hunter) had a comparatively small skull and moderate bite force. T.Rex apparently evolved to hunt prey smaller than itself although most prey would have been either numerous (hadrosaurs), armored (ankylosaurs), or armed (ceratopians i.e Triceratops), driving the development of a really powerful jaw to remain effective hunters.

    • @Nvcturnal
      @Nvcturnal Před 9 lety +1

      Chris Archie They were also very top-heavy. Their tails played a larger role in their balance than scientists previously thought. Because their skulls were one of the heaviest known to ever exist, if they had large arms then they literally just would have toppled nose first lol of course they could have just used this to walk on all fours, but the T-rex wasnt built for that. It didnt need arms to help rip apart prey (cough_spino_cough)because its jaws could do it easier. So that combined with its build and having large arms making it top heavy, nature just felt that little arms were better. This leads the question on why they even had little arms to begin with, why did evolution not just do away with them totally. Well, why do male humans still have nipples? Why do certain fish (gar and carp) still have lungs even tho they primarily use gills? Leftovers...Or, and I find this theory fascinating, I read that T-rex was amidst an evolution change when they went extinct, and they were actually growing arms, not shrinking. Yet we havent found evidence from before that they or their older counterparts had no arms.
