In this video I show you how I disable and code out the tire pressure monitor system on my 2008 Audi A4 using OBD Eleven to code the adaptations. The car likely has a bad TPMS antennae and one or more dead sensors at the wheels, which would cost about $350+ to get working again with new parts and labor to remove and install tires. The batteries in the monitors commonly fail and are not serviceable.
Since I check my tire pressures manually (along with the engine oil level) during every gas tank fill up, the easy way to turn off the warning is to simply ''code out'' the TPMS. To do this I use the software by OBD Eleven on a Fire tablet with Google Play installed. An android device is required, as iOS support is not out yet. Using module 17 in adaptations, you simply select channel 61 and find a number displayed. Enter a new number by subtracting 512 from the value provided.
It can always be turned back on just as easily again by adding '512' to the number displayed on channel 61 and resetting. Use this guide and turn off your TPMS at your own risk! Be sure to periodically check your tire pressures regularly for safety, the old school way.

Where did you found this value 512. I like to do the same think in my Transporter?
Thanks so much for that! Really appreciate you taking the time out to do this. I have ordered my obdeleven which should arrive soon. I'll let you know if I was successful on my 2018 Avant ;^)
Hey just wanted to pop in here to thank you for this video.
Really cute baby 😊 You guys take care. Much love from Germany ❤️
I'm trying to do the same for 2008 Jetta. Is the 3331 is same for my car too?
Hi does this work with any portable ode ,and where did you get the numbers x and minus them I want for toyota prius 2014
i tried doing this on my 13' VW CC but when i get to adaptation it doesn't ask what channel i want to go to ? just long list of options ...i also have a separate module for TPMS only..
Does it work with Audi a4b9. I’m mean can I puts the same input?
Is this coding works for Audi c6 ?
Hey man nice set up! Can i use same thing on 2012 audi a6 3.0t cuz i have aftermarket wheels? Thanks
Hello did you try it with your car to remove the tmps? Did it work? THANKS
Will this work for a 2008 Volkswagen Passat?
Will this work on 2016 a5 3.0 Quattro??????
Nice video. Worked for me thanks. How did you come up with 512 to make the subtraction? I’m new to this. just got odbeleven pro still trying to learn how to use it. Thanks again.
Thanks Barry, glad it worked for you too. The 512 subtraction is discussed on many forums so there seems to be consensus on that value. I found this guide for the coding: forum.obdeleven.com/thread/3362/pressure-monitor-system-coding-adaptation
thx.. vw/audi tire pressure has been a pain
Will this work on a 2009 VW Jetta?
How do you check the tire pressure with obd11?
This is work for superb 2017?
Hi
Has anyone been able to disable the Tom's for a Tiguan 2017
Hi, will this OBD ELEVEN PRO SCAN TOOL work with iPhone and BMW system?
Autotuning hi, no this is for VW and Audi. They have an iPhone version coming out this Summer. For BMW see my “best bmw scan tool” video.
@@BIMMERZEITT ok, thank, I'll check it.
love this man, can it work off a smartphone?
A G hey thanks, yes it works with any android device or phone. iOS coming this summer (I have an iPhone) so I used a Fire tablet instead
Can you use obd11 to enable the AUX input on the radio?
what is the option to activate the rear sensors parking on the mmi display?
not sure, you'll have to post that question on the audi forums you may find better details there
Man I need to do this with my passat
is this work to ford?
How to use OBDELEVEN PRO to recognize the new pressure sensor?
Sorry bud I sold the car. Try the Audi forums for further guidance.
bluetooth simply needs PAIRING like any device before it will connect...
You should code out the gas gauge warning bell 😉
G Lasser yes but the connection is painfully slow and clunky. An iOS version coming this summer hopefully I can review it. Yes, and the seatbelt warning chime ⚠️
Where did you get the 512 number from?
nyc audizine forums
will it work on a chevy 2017 2500hd ?
This particular software is for German cars but you might find a similar tool for GM
Where did you get the info of module 17, channel 61, and subtracting 512 from? And is that specific to your car?
there’s a link to the forum with info in the video description
hello, nice video. anyone knows how to disconnect on the cdi mercedes a180 w178 2015 year. they are crazy placed useless sensors but important for spare tyre no place. mercedes crap become!
Not very clear where you got your figures from?
forum.obdeleven.com/thread/3362/pressure-monitor-system-coding-adaptation
Doesn't work on A8
Errr I meant 2008 Avant
Well, its not OBD11s fault, that BT ain't working properly ;)
Unfortunately ODB eleven is a real money scam. It's as unreliable as the cheaper copy versions. This one just cost more money. Should be plug and play, but it's more like plug and pray
Mr Wang the first version is flawed for sure, the blue tooth connection drove me mad. You’re right. I wouldn’t say it’s a scam though, the software works and is robust with features that other scan tools can’t access such as coding out the TPMS. Ultimately that’s what I needed this for. The $200 for a vag com cable you can only use on 3 cars feels scammy lol
@@BIMMERZEITT Anything with microtransactions (credits) is the scam. VCDS is the real thing and for $200 it's the best value with the best info and features minus the phone app which I think is coming. And you can delete a car off it if needed. But hey if you want to pay $150 for a unit PLUS credits everytime you want to do long coding or watch ads at 1 credit per ad go ahead lol, scammy ;)
Cruisey I agree with you. Both are expensive. BMW is my wheelhouse, the coding and diagnostic options are very cheap by comparison, one time tool purchase and unlimited use forever $0.00
NOPE! If you can't afford to have this function operating properly, you are a fool to own a german self-destructing P.O.S. in the first place. Don't buy cars you cant afford to maintain properly. Buy a honda, invest the money saved in a training in a skill, fix your mess. You are not your car.
