This was an amazing show during the dinner of those students. I was playing sax with one hand and filming with the other. This fine girl helped me out with it. Thank you so much! It was a wonderful evening.. Ladies again thanks a lot xxx
Oh and...uhhh..They did only sit for very short moments at their table. I am soooo!! glad that those youngsters love smooth jazz.There is coming more I promise.
ABOUT JAN
Jan is een unieke artiest met een intense sound en een ongeëvenaarde freestyle. Onlangs schitterde Jan nog in de indrukwekkende Ziggo Dome (bekijk de video voor een voorproefje van zijn optreden). Jan's visie is simpel: hij wil dat zijn muziek naadloos aansluit bij uw wensen. Loyaliteit en betrouwbaarheid staan bij hem hoog in het vaandel, daarom hecht hij veel waarde aan goed
contact met de opdrachtgever. Zijn streven is om uw gasten te raken en blij te maken met zijn muziek. Met als specialiteit freestyle. Ook speelt hij bekende nummers. Met Jan's veelzijdigheid kunt u verschillende muziekstijlen verwachten, zoals Disco, Chill, House, Funk, Dance, Jazz en Lounge. Of het nu gaat om een festival, feest, gala, bruiloft, receptie of zakelijk evenement, Jan zorgt voor de perfecte muzikale ambiance.
Saxofoon en DJ gaan hand in hand bij Jan's optredens. Hij werkt al jaren samen met vaste DJ's, waaronder de bekende radio 10 DJ Dennis Verheugd, maar staat ook open voor uw eigen DJ. DJ's spelen een cruciale rol op dansfeesten, maar kunnen ook een waardevolle bijdrage leveren aan meer ingetogen sferen.
Voor rustigere evenementen biedt Jan ook akoestische optredens met zijn vaste pianist of gitarist (walking duo). Daarnaast speelt Jan ook zelf piano tijdens langere solo-optredens.

BIO JAN
Jan grew up in Uden (Netherlands), an environment with a lot of talented musicians. He had a group with Marcel Schimscheimer (Toots Thielemans, Mink Deville, Gino Vanelli). Jan also performed in those early years with Hans and Candy Dulfer.
Moving to the west, he met Juan van Emmerloot & Walter Latupeirissa (TOTO-member Steve Lukather, Snowy White, Walter Trout) They did a lot of gigs in Holland and played several of Jan’s songs.
In the beginning of the 90’s Jan did a lot of performances with Thijs van Leer (Focus) Bobby Jacobs (Focus), Roeland Jacobs (Laura Figi), Marcel Dorenbos (Laura Figi, Victor Bailey) and Ruben van Rhoon (Candy Dulfer).
During his 6 year period in Curacao Jan performed with Franklin Bata (Candy Dulfer), Roy en Elmer Louis (Passport), de Kast, the Rembrand trio, Konkie Halmeyer and Aaron Heick (Simon and Garfunkel, Lady Gaga). For years Jan performed in the popular café the Tropen with his band.
Coming back from Curacao Jan produced together with Juan van Emmerloot, his own CD ‘the Voice Inside’ (on Spotify), which had some excellent reviews. The Jan van Oortband played songs of this CD on festivals (Jazz in Duketown) and also they performed at the support act of the famous fusionact the Yellow Jackets.
Juan also produced the CD of John Bundrick, former keyboard player of the Who. Jan did the saxwork on that album (Spotify). Together with Ferry Lagendijk (Gare du Nord) they formed their trio LEPR (Spotify)
