Slow Flow Yoga Practice for Upper Body Strength

  • 30-minute Slow Flow Yoga for strengthening the upper body!
    This slow sequence focuses on building strength around the upper back, shoulders and arms. You can expect several Planks, backbends, and a lovely Dolphin pose 🐬
    The intention of the practice is to spend several breaths with each pose and pay mindful attention to the connections to the lower body as well; For example, finding a connection from the head down to the feet in backbends and Planks.
    Breathing can sometimes be challenging with these poses, so hopefully the slower pace allows you to stay with your breath as well - it can only help!
    I lead you through this flow without any props but if your Pigeon pose is normally enhanced by a block or a pillow, then grab one for this practice too. This time we'll stay strong in a higher, Proud Pigeon pose 😊
