Quite an intriguing tune. It first starts off gently, but with a dose of determination, as if the hero of the piece was walking, then looking at the results of his plan. But the whole piece gets kind of darker (especially with the addition of the voice in the backgroud), and the listener doesn't really know if the hero is good or bad - the only thing he or she knows is that the hero is firm in their statement and will do anything to reach their goal. As the piece goes louder and louder we can only watch as the hero takes over the universe and observes the world under domination... And then it suddenly stops, then the main theme returns, but quieter than ever - which makes it even more worrisome.
Thank you very much for the piece, it made my day a bit better (while most of it was nice, the event from the evening made everything kind of miserable). When's another piece due, if I may ask? :)

He was a little shit but I love the way he talked.
Man, it's sad to remember that Tanos was the first superhero movie "villain" with a motivation that deserved to be understood, and then he was talentlessly merged "avengers have shameful revenge."
What is there to understand? He killed off half of all living things (presumably only sentient civilization building life)... and? Look at human population, how long does it take us to double our numbers? We've always had a problem with resources and population - but that is when we use science to create a solution.
When we had about a billion people, people wrote about problems with food supply - but we upgraded our agriculture through engineering and scientific discoveries so there are now 7 billion of us.
You can't find some material on Earth, mines are running dry? We use recycling, we mine asteroids, in the end we fuse lighter things into heavier ones. We find solutions.
Thanos' idea to end the scarcity in the universe is... to kill off half of everything? Wow. With the ultimate power over reality as it is with his Infinity stones... that was the plan? There is nothing to be understood, it is plain fucking stupid.
Now, in the COMMICS his motivation is different. He is a titan, almost god-like creature. He does not care about lower light forms. In there, he kills off half of the population as a gift of love, a courting gesture to Death, another god-like creature in the universe.
It might be fucked up reason to us, but it is at least sensible and not plain dumb as the one in the film.
Like, seriously, it takes us, in our current state, a few decades to double the population. That means that all the trouble Thanos went though, all his work for the stones, all the decades of planning and working... is simply undone in the next few decades. And he loses the power he had to actually solve the problem he said he is solving.

The Joker in the Dark Knight just wanted to watch the world burn, either by his hands or by humanity's hands. Sure he might've had a traumatic past, but remember, he's a psychopath. He doesn't need any just motivations to do the horrible things he did.
Thanos had a Malthusian plan to wipe out half of all life, due to his traumatic expirience on Titan and his ego which deluded him to the point where saw himself as the good guy.
Thanos could just doubled the universe resources instead of taking away life.
That's why it sounds stupid.
