Nyrufa Lol Yes- because Diablerie, constant breaching of the Masquerade and the "pandering" of Thin Bloods is perfectly reasonable. I’m a Setite, therefore independent, my loyalties lie with Set and the rest of my Clan. So I am not aligned with either Camarilla, Anarchs or Sabbat. But yes I’ll never trust the Cam as far as can throw them, or believe they’re propaganda. Same goes for the Sabbat.

This is how Humanity should be like, but I never felt it was like this in any game I've played. Humanity has only felt like morality mechanics rather than maintaining your connection with the humans around you. I try to focus on the latter in my games, and therefore I prefer to drop humanity scores. I am very happy to hear of touchstones in V5.
I find marility mechanics tedious like Chaotic good in DnD and using anything as 'I do wtf I want'.

Just remember that there is more than one way to stay in touch with your humanity. Empathy is an important human quality but it's not the only human quality.

well.. not for its prey, but a lot of predatory species are social and to an extent altruistic because (whether you´d wanna call it altruism or just a weird form of self interest) and support each other..
the canine species are mostly social, the feline less so.. well the house cat is, but even other dont go out of their way to harm another of their species except it has a real important thing (like lions eating the cubs of their rials to reduce their offspring)

While being a vampire sounds cool there's a lot you'd miss, real food, the sun, all the activities of the day.
Sex, depending on the DM. Though The Gentleman seems to disagree with that one.
To a Vampire blood tastes better than any food you ever tastes as a mortal. As for the sun, eh who cares. There is plenty of people already who work a night shift and thus usually sleep during the day.
Food: Keeping your humanity high allows you to keep the food down. Sun: Better put _a lot_ of points in fortitude.

My persona is a Malk wich cant rememeber 99% of stuff or people after being embraced happening until 6 days ago. I will probably forget everything after one week. Imma just say it: Golconda. The original, because in my opinion the original of anything takes precedence. It happened with Star Wars, it happened with eragon, it happened with D&D, it's gonna happen here. Werewolves won't try to hurt you, you go to heaven or whatever when you die, you look more human than people, and you never frenzy. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Incidentally, I think the Nosferatu are one of the clans who can spurn Humanity on some degree, just because there's rarely any feasible way for most of them to use and peruse most anything in society anymore. Not wholly true, as some may find ways to cheat the system (a hoodie and a good, deep scrubbing bath to make sure they're....presentable), but if any clan were to put Humanity on the backburner of usefulness, it'd be them.
Put on bandages and pretend to be a burn victim. Bathing is just good etiquette, regardless of whether or not you have a pulse.

I always wondered if it's possible to maintain humanity as the ages go by. Every connection you make will end and you will be left alone. If everything and everyone turns to dust, then what's the point?
Find some friends who are also vampires and try to maintain your humanity threw each other? If you and they are embraced at roughly the same time then you'll probably will still be able to relate with each other after thousands of years, when you couldn't with vampires older or younger then you.
Gorinich Serpant A perfect example of this is Louis and Lestat relationship in Vampire Chronicles by Ann Rice. Louis is nearly driven mad by trying to hold to humanity and failing, so to speak to let go of it, and Lestat trying to guide/remind him of this yet Lestat himself shows a very humane empathy and love towards his friend although he often criticizes him for it. I really love how the Vampire Chronicles tackles these subjects and all kinds of other philosophies. I highly recommend reading this as a context to this subject of the masquerade and the fifth book, Memnoch the Devil, is just a masterpiece. But only more so if you've read the other four before then the context will be so much greater.

What use have you for a car when you can outrun anything not made for the race track? What use have you for currency when you can enthrall people to give you what you want and not even remember doing so? What use have you for groceries when you can pluck anybody off the street and have a meal? What use have you climbing your way up the corporate ladder, when you can Ghoul somebody from any rank you please?
Humanity has its benefits? Bah, nothing that The Beast can't compensate for.
***** I would disagree. Mosquitoes feed indiscriminately and spread deadly sicknesses. Vampires are aware that's a bad idea and try to refrain from doing so. A vampire also has the ability to contribute to society, if they so choose. And the vampire didn't refuse another path, it was thrust upon them. It's easy to become jaded when you live decades beyond what should be humanly possible.
I can understand clinging to humanity during your first 50 years or so. You're young, you're still ignorant of your condition. But in time you'll realize that humanity is a lifestyle for human standards. A vampire is no longer human, it can never again be human, and attempting to live as a human is doomed to fail. The only rational thing one can do is find a new path, one better adapted to their new existence. We Sabbat can help with that.
***** Blood Brothers are an abomination that even many within the Sabbat disapprove of. The Sabbat isn't about giving in to the Beast, much as the shovel heads would have you believe. Those mass embraces are canon fodder, they're not really supposed to live through the week, but rather act as distractions for the Cammies to focus on. The true Sabbat have turned the Beast into a tool for our own gains. It serves us, not the other way around. Hmm, I suppose one might say the Sabbat are kind of like the Sith in that regard.
As for contributing to society, I merely said that we could. Yeah, the primary drive of vampires is survival, but that's the same for every living species on the planet. Survive as long as possible, and propagate the species. That's not something unique to vampires. Humans don't give a shit if they eat or kill another creature to survive because they're not the same species. Their own survival takes precedence. Why should vampires be classified as evil for behaving in the same fashion?

I've a question for our dark tutor. I can understand why you might take it upon yourself to school the younger Sabbat vampires, but why do you make your lessons available to Camarilla neonates like myself and others? I realize that it is probably not my place, but it seems counter productive to me.
