Is KTM keeping the 1190? And the 1290 more of road touring bike? Nice to hear someone doing RTW travel on an 1190!
Nope :( it's all 1090 and 1290 now, but you can still find some lightly used 1190s for sale, and that's what a lot of classes still use as their beaters.
I m always doubt why dont chris join dakar rally....and take a win for ktm...

What did you guys think of the KTM 690s before you put the rally raid kit on compared to after?
+TRMX MAN I still have my 690 that I rode from London to Sydney (full movie on MAD TV site). It's now done around 40,000 ks of tough adventure including two Simpson Desert crossings and other demanding rides. The Rally Raid kit gives you a 600 ks fuel range, which is useful in the outback of Australia. I currently have a race fairing on it, frankly I should have just kept the head light with a KTM Hardparts little weather shield. Hopefully I'll be testing the 2016 KTM 690 when it arrives in Australia very shortly.
Could anyone please tell me what model akro exhaust is on the 1190 Chris has? Can't seem to find it anywhere. It suits it well.
It's a normal one that has had the rear piece broken.

+nbarnes4 I spent two weeks testing the 1190 Adventure R (vid of the test on this channel). It really is a fantastic bike. But I'm still wedded to the thumpers. I started my adv career on a KTM640 Adventure and I love the LC4 engine heritage and the refinement of that engine to eventually make the 690. The 690 makes for a very strongly dirt oriented versatile adventure bike.
