  • Silverpod Productions worked closely with community members to produce a series of videos aimed at addressing the topic of family violence, using creative techniques as a foundation for message delivery within this campaign.
The animation elements of this project were created based on the drawings done by children during art therapy sessions, these artworks tell stories from their perspectives, compelling adult viewers to recognise the effects family violence has and to reach out if their families need help.
The children who created these drawings were empowered through speaking up for other kids in similar situations.
This project is being used to enhance other programs and also distributed independently as a campaign resource to prevent family violence - encouraging victims of abuse to seek help, perpetrators to recognise their behaviour, take responsibility and enact change and for members of the community to speak up and report incidences of violence.
Supported by the Grampians Indigenous Family Violence Regional Action Group, with the funds provided by the Victorian Government Indigenous Family Violence Community Initiative Fund, and working in partnership with BADAC (Ballarat & District Aboriginal Co-Op) and WRISC (Women’s Resource Information Support Centre).
