I remember playing this in marching band in 1989. I played French horn and I loved the part that we had.
My band is playing that and when it changes from 4:4 to 3:4 at 0:28 sounds so amazing I love it.
We played this song my freshmen year at my old high school as our closer. The field show that year remains one of my favorites. Even after watching all the badass 5A bands perform at the competitions my current school's marching band did this year

HAHA Oh man. This, Aztec Fire and a third song that I can't remember the name of at the moment are bringing back great memories of my first year of HS marching band in 8th grade. (hs band alone was too small)

The visiting marching band played this at my school's last home game and weirdly enough it was in the senior class's first contest show so they all started singing their parts and dancing

You play pep tunes in High School in the stands at football games because its easy. Its made to be easy, so that you can learn multiple of the same length songs in stands.

why do i play high notes out of tune im a senior in high school and im playing in front of a tuner but i cant adjust. A lot of times im sharp, but when i try to go lower, i just skip to the next note down
"Aim" high and you'll hit them ... right now, you are probably so worried about hitting the notes, you are coming in low ... besides, what matters is staying in tune when you are playing with the ensemble, so your section BLENDS
