Johny Depp answered when questioned that Paul Whitehouse is the greatest actor he’s ever worked with. Paul really can do any character there is. He’s not just a comedy actor but he had so many characters with Harry Enfield that he’s now remembered mainly for that. He’s seriously under rated though by most.

As parents you have to watch Harry's sketch Kevin becomes a teenager! Taken from the same show and became so popular it became a regular feature as well as later having 2 movies made but this is the sketch that started it all.

My two favourite sketches are 'Who's that Girl' and '40, 45'. Both are hilarious and brilliantly clever. Paul and Harry are both great. You might be interested to know that Paul Whitehouse was just Harry's mate from the pub. Once Harry got famous he was asked who he thought the best Comedian was. He just insisted that it was his mate Paul from the pub and Paul's career was born!

The Slobs from Harry Enfield & Chums was always a good laugh. The lottery win was a particular highlight. But also, don't dismiss Paul Whitehouse as a sidekick, he's done some incredible stuff too (thinking back to The Fast Show)

All Murray has a sketch show called Multiple Personality Disorder, in which one of the characters he plays is a flamboyant gay Nazi called Uberbombfuhrer Horst Schwul.

This was from "Harry Enfield's Brand Spanking New Show" which was made for Sky in 2000. It didn't feature Paul Whitehouse or Kathy Burke who had both been regulars in his two '90s BBC series ("Harry Enfield's Television Programme" and "Harry Enfield and Chums") where many of his best-loved characters appeared. He re-united with Paul in 2007 for "Ruddy Hell! It's Harry and Paul"/"Harry and Paul".

If you can find anything from the fast show, that was another great sketch show from around the time with paul whitehouse (amongst others). "Suits you sir" was 2 overly familiar tailors and was hilarious... michael paine- nosey neighbour was also a really funny one.
on the subject of sketch shows... there was "the sketch show" (original name i know) which had lee mack and tim vine (amongst others). i think they did an american version with kelsey grammar (still with lee mack) but it kinda just recycled the english one. Or smack the pony for an all female one.... so many good sketch shows

Harry also done a series called Harry Enfield and friends with Paul Whitehouse and Kathy Burke, the Slobs, Kevin and Perry which was later turned into a film were a couple of series of sketches from the show, Harry and Kathy also played a couple of toddlers surrounded by oversized furniture which were really funny, check the fast show suits you sketches for Paul Whitehouse and for Kathy burke Gimme Gimme Gimme a comedy series also Kathrine Tates xmas special where she plays nans daughter
The last time I had to describe a nazi flag to a group of people who didn't know what a swastika was I just drew it for them. But then I did lose my job at the primary school
The symbol is a sign of peace in other cultures. It's unfortunate that it has this negative association (at least in the west) since the symbol itself is actually pretty neat to be fair to it. And practically speaking, specific shapes can have application in the real world for structural design. I could imagine it being used like some kind of gear. Also imagine they used a hexagon on their flag instead, then today some people wouldn't buy honey until the bees change their manufacturing process. lol Or if they used a pentagon, then the U.S. changing The Pentagon into The Pentagram or something. lol

There is always a certain amount of truth in comedy and this sketch is no exception. Indeed homosexuality was rife within the Nazi S A brown shirts lead by Ernst Rohm. In fact the homosexuality within brown shirts was one of the reasons albeit one of lesser reason's for the night of the long knifes where Rohm and many high ranking officers were murdered by order of the fuhrer
My favourite harry enfield sketches were his Kevin the teenager ones. They’re all pretty good. They adapted it into a movie eventually, but maybe look at some of the clips first?

As I said in the last video "I saw you coming" is hilarious. The Dragon's Den ones are also great if you've seen the actual UK show before (it's our version of Shark Tank) and know about of the dragon's personalities in real life.
This is comedy gold. Enfield went anywhere like the Pythons did. It's such a tragedy that real observational comedy today is shut down. We watch this and we are reduced to tears. Comedy 2020's doesn't do that. It's safe and boring.

couple of shows that were big over here years ago steptoe and son and Love thy Neighbour steptoe was a good laugh but Love thy Neighbour was pretty crazy and would get no where near the tv set these days . Seen a few Americans react to it and they are shocked .

@King Boomer: Just a couple of days ago I saw a BBC Compilation of H&P sketches which it admitted would not pass muster these days ; it includes some of the recommendations made by commenters, in particular the absolute gem of them portraying 'Laurel and Hardy star in Broke Back Mountain' !! I can virtually guarantee You and Queen jumping off your swivel chairs, but here's a 'heads up' - don't let the outrageous content distract you from seeing how brilliantly they incorporate the iconic LandH mannerisms.

Harry and Paul do a few dragons den sketches which are brilliant. They are worth a watch also I love his Rodney bond sketches where he plays 007s identical twin brother who works in finance but is somehow more interesting 😆
