Simple Math: 1/8th x 1.57= 1/4
This is a good conversion used by the NHRA. Calculating the incrementals can show if your falling off on the big end etc. from fuel or other.

Damn dude good driving. That's impressive. What was your 60'? Not easy to get something so heavy to go that quick in 2wd. I got an old junk 6000lb dodge for a daily. It traps 105 but best I've done is a full second slower. Might have to take it back out and play some more. 5 speed manual doesn't help matters.

Another good math hack is finding the gain from lowering the 60’ time. You will drop ET at 1.80 x the amount you drop the 60’ time. Simple Math:
.100 x 1.80= .18 faster ET
ex 2.00 down to a 1.90 60’ etc
Is it possible to transer the front seats and rear sests from your model tahoe to a 2013 yukon ?
That the 1/8 mile time, divide in half and add .5. An 8.0 divide by 2 is 4.0 and add .5 so it would be a 12.5. 7.0 divided by 2 is 3.5 and add .5 which will be an 11.0. Try it, only thing it doesn't work on is big turbo cars that pull hard on the back end.

Any plans to swap on medium bore LS3 heads on the 5.3 or LS3 and the new Kong 2650? I bet that would wake up that Tahoe and put it in the mid 11s especially if you can leave it 4wd. I swapped Atomic Viking DA coilovers that dropped significant weight off the front and rides much better with DJM rear hardware kit, 5305 Belltech rear coils and Airlift helper bags and an adjustable panhard bar. With declad 20" GMC wheels with 275/40 and 11" widened rears on 315/35/20s. I have a LQ9 with 243 heads I'll have PnP and milled, a ported Fast LSXRT 102mm intake, and RPM Level 6 with a Yank SS3600 converter and 4.11 rear gears. I would like to see how my NA 6.0 runs compared to your LSA forged 5.3 Hopefully I can get in the low to mid 13s NA. But like I said I would love to see mid bore rectangle port heads with the Kong TVS2650 on E85 and meth. Since we aren't apart maybe we can run each other and see how the full size SUVs do against each other

You should race Jeremy from fasterproms in his lt4 Escalade I don't know what his runs yet but the escalade should be a little heavier and it should balance out the power to weight ratio that should be a good race

What boost your running? I have a 2007 with an lsa on 14 psi and can eat up a newer 5.0 on a roll. I was out of fuel pump and stock lsa injector on 14 psi so had to add a boost a pump to the flex fuel pump it already had. On a v box on the street it has been 12.7@109 and is a 4x4 also. I think my 07 is a little heavier. Truck is a blast with this much power but took a while and some billet shafts in the trans to keep the 4l60e in it. 14 psi 15 degrees total timing 11.70 afr. I’m on a 165k bottom end now. I start seeing kr with more timing. I don’t hear it but random pings on the log so guessing your on lower boost. Nice build fun for sure.
I run 10.5 lbs. It's a blast. I'll up the boost one day, but I need to add meth first.

They make adapter plates that change cathedrals to rectangle.

Hi Jeff I have a stock 06 Tahoe with the 5.3, I am changing my plugs for the 1st time and am a little confused I purchased ac delco 41-162 iridium plugs but when I was looking up plug gap I am getting conflicting recommendations 0.40 vs 0.60 your input would be greatly appreciated, I love your tahoe

I dont recall the 60ft. It was not impressive. 85 lb. Fast injectors and a DW400 pump

If I remember right you can take off in 4 high and switch it into 2 wheel while rolling
I don’t think under a load the transfer case will shift into 2 high
I have an '01 GMC Sierra with a built 6.0. I launch in 4 Hi. As soon as I take off I push the 2 Hi button and it shifts out of 4 Hi when it shifts to 2nd.
@@SNELLERIZED I heard that was hard on the tranfercase. shifting to 2wd under wot. Parrish would run his down the track in 4 high for the entire run.

@@HighPSItv I get about 12 mpg in my 2001 s10 ZR2. I put a jasper engine in my truck a year ago and it's got 10,000 miles and they are replacing the engine as we speak. The mechanic said cylinder 4 piston looks like a ballpeen hammer hit it a million times and cylinder 1 walls have vertical gouges on them. It was tapping from the first day I picked it up from the shop. My truck has 70,000 miles on it. There's videos of it on my utube page.
