i personally love running tommy gun with the elementalist, that way when his mantra reloads he gets infinite ammo. its like a minigun without the slowness while shooting.
Infinite ammo elementalist is so much fun, it's like being a gunzerker that also just happens to be shrouded in a chaotic elemental tempest at all times.
Also good to run on ranger cus the javelin throw to replenish ammo is great for tommy or any big mag gun v fun shred machine
Man the grind to get elementalist was crazy but he’s so worth it lol, his abilities are super powerful and just wished the cooldown didn’t exist and I could shoot out infinite orbs but oh well, still pretty good

I gotta say, everything seems pretty viable in this game besides some clunky weapons like the grenade. Compared to similar games like gunfire, Roboquest feels more simple since it's damage range from beginning of the run to the end is pretty small. That makes most weapons viable at any stage, its just a matter of how quickly you can clear
Ill agree kunai has the multiplier to back it up but ive never encountered a situation where id take it over something like the lynx rifle. Lynx rifle is such a reliable hit scan with no recoil and feels extremely responsive. Even on my bad recon runs i end up with crit damaging ranging from 900-1000

My three favorites that I choose based on effectiveness and stylishness are Bandito Gun, Dual Hellions, and Cobra 50. My favorite out of my favorites being the Cobra. You just can't beat a sexy Desert Eagle.
I have played roboquest for a while and when i read this title i almost had a stroke, i never thought anyone would say those words
19:50 i got roboquest not to long ago and i really like the elementalist and the abilities of him are not bad but they get really good when you get the perk attunement it makes the fireball radius bigger, the chain lightning be able to hit 2 more enemies and the ice shards fire 4 extra projectiles if you pair that with inner fire and inner focus which makes you have 2 extra trinity charges it makes trinity really good in my opinion
I found out myself that you can bounce anything that has the bounce affix off the ground and walls and they will seek out the nearest crit spot/hitbox in their trajectory. Makes you feel badass.
I just started playing a few days ago. I never even bat an eye at the kunai before. I just tried it for my first G2 run and I absolutely shit stomped S across the board 28 mins. What a weapon.
38:25 my favorite weapon would probably be the Hornet bow, idk why I just like how it’s designed and I like heavy hitting weapons 😂
+10% firerate, +15% crit damage, +10% crit chance or +20% reload speed, then Firewheel, Buckshot, and Fork or Surprise. If it's 4 blue affixes, then Fork and surprise. That way, you could maximize the small mag size while increasing affix based crit capabilities, with the Kunai, before skills and per run abilities are involved.
This is super cool! I'm still relatively new to this game but I still feel like sniper is just better for crit builds? Especially holding a regular sniper with the AWP one, having the affix that makes your shots have a 30% chance to ricochet as well as the regular crit ricochet upgrade on both so groups just get slaughtered, then boss damage is easy to keep up with the faster firing sniper. Correct me if I'm wrong though
I beat the game for the first time using the Kunai. It had the occasional shotgun "shot" where it just sent out like 10 of them in a spread.
My guess is that people don't like the Kunai because it's hard to hit with. I don't know why but I have a hard time landing shots with it than any other crit based weapon. Are all the other good crit weapons hitscan? I think they are.
I just don't like how they feel to use, they aren't satisfying. They also don't deal melee damage which feels odd to me given they are a thrown weapon and the tomahawk does deal melee damage and is more satisfying (IMO) to actually use even if it is objectively a worse weapon over-all. I think it is just that the kunai doesn't seem to benefit greatly from fire rate or reload speed at least in comparison to the guns.
It feels strange to use because it has physics. As in, the kunai fall to the ground via gravity when you throw them past close/mid range. It can be hard to adjust to.

I've done a lot of elementalist runs and I've had some pretty gnarly runs with him where I have 3 passive abilities with 5 second cooldowns and if I uses it it'd reset the cool down of the other skill with I was spamming 1.5k dmg I think it was on every enemy and beat this difficulty pretty easily.
My favorite crit build is dual shark snipers with increased pocket reload and rapid swapping to increase fire rate
I would love to see a Heavy Weapon Run. Doesn’t have to be Guardian 4, but all weapons used must have the Heavy Property.

Yeah, if you run a pure crit build and find legendary kunai.. game over bro. You will literally melt everything, and I mean everything.
I personally like to play engineer so my bots can distract enemies while i just naruto the shite out of everything. It's so satisfying. Hopefully your kunai comes with rocket jump like mine did. (2 charges)
I have reached heaven city only once and i didn't manage to go very far in it, usually i die around energy center or even fields/acqua station. then i watched this video. managed to get kunai pretty much at the start (green), i died the room prior to iris (just bc i have only got the purple crystal), with purple kunai, didnt even have shadow strike. its insane the crit dmg and how good it feels. it has become my fav weapon so far. SO I AGREE KUNAI IS THE BEST CRIT WEAP! 🤩😍
All weapons feel very viable! I can't name one weak one honestly
I would say that Kramer, power gloves, smg (the range specifically) all feel pretty meh especially at Guardian 4.
I havent found a use or reason to take boom grenade (yet) in my runs.

My favorite weapon has to be Beluga cannon. That thing with fragments and Engineer with cryo mastery is a goddamn MENACE. Also Mine launcher is a very close contender to being my favorite. Anyway explosive builds go super hard.
I don't know or think anyone cares but my favorite weapons are the dual crossbows (forgot their name due to bad memory) and the bandito gun

My fav weapon is the mammoth minigun, ive dealt so much dps that damage numbers linger 4 seconds after bosses die to it

i think most of my dislike of kunai comes from copium at the fact that it doesn’t benefit from the melee healing orb bonus tbh. maybe i’ll come around and give it another try lmao. great video

Did not know it was that good! I will not use it though because it just doesn't feel as good as the lever action. The kuni has a very dull sound to it which makes it feel like a peashooter. The lever action or bandito revolver however have more snap to them. It makes you feel more powerful and think you are performing better.
To be honest, I've played both Gunfire Reborn and Roboquest. Roboquest is a bit more exhausting to play than Gunfire Reborn. Its hitbox is smaller, and the monsters are more scattered. Gunfire Reborn has stronger Rogue elements compared to Roboquest. In Gunfire Reborn, you can intuitively feel the improvement brought by the choices in the scrolls, but the build formation time in Roboquest is just too long.
Played both too, and I agree with most of what you said. Still, slower progression in Roboquest doesn't make it less satisfying, though you can definitely feel the difference from early access.
I think Roboquest is a better shooter though.

I find the hellion dual pistols the best weapon in the game, especially in purple, never found a legendary one, took out iris very quickly
Is the revolver not better for crits since it does +50%? I had the two at once and the revolver did way more dmg

Turn to discovery and unlock all characters and shit then play on harder difficulty
Canyons, Ruins, Scrapyard (via ruins orange area), fields, doom gardens (via fields safe area), aqua station, fusion core (via aqua station safe area), haven city, district 13, moon.
Make sure you take your time to get all the exp from doom gardens for the achievement. In a normal run I would get as many kills as possible while still making it to the door in time for the extra upgrade.

kunai is bad if you cant hit shit, and even if you do you will most likely miss at least half of them which negates the base crit number a lot. And tbh you were hardly hitting the weak spots anyway.

When you unlock a weapons card and unlock something else, I can’t remember what, it’s two less power cells to reroll that weapon.
I think scout sniper is the best crit weapon. That’s just me though.

There's a base upgrade that reduce the reroll cost by 1 and since green and blue weapon only cost 1 cell to roll, they become free to reroll

Ive tried my hand with builds. And i gotta say kunai is probably not the best. Good yea. But when comparer to something like a shark sniper with charging scope. It just dosent compete
