  • amzn.to/3IZFdth The Unique jaw design on these Knipex 082145 CombinationNeedle Nose pliers could be considered an oxymoron with their serious grabbing power in a stubbly needle nose design. Maybe that's a double oxymoron?

Good lord these pliers with comfort grip have become my most used pliers at work. They're permanently attached to my hip. It's a million times better than all the leathermans my colleagues have. The only reason I bought them is because you brought them to my attention with this video. Thanks!
The only thing I believe might make them a more perfect set of pliers is if they used crosshatch pattern for the grip section. They are already a high-leverage joint design, so it would be nice to have that omnidirectional, minimally-marring grip.

I have this pliers with the VDE handle, and is one of my favorites. I like the convex jaw design, for gripping flat objects. Also if you take a look, the joint is closer to the cutting edges, Knipex described this as a high leverage joint. And yes, you can apply more force to the cutting edges and is surprisingly powerful for its size. The stubby needle nose is anti twist and very strong. Nice video and comparison with the other tools. 👍👍

Really good demonstration of the gripping power with it punching way above it's class. Effectively getting 3 points of contact for a rock-solid grip (2 on one side with the 3rd opposite squeezing between). I have one inbound for my Klein Tools 7-inch zipper bag mini toolkit. Pairing it with a Snap-on 6-inch 46ACF combination slip joint that has the crosshatch pattern on the grip section that I'll use for less discrete use. Smaller pliers are often overlooked.

This is my favourite pair of pliers and by far my most used one. I was especially surprised how the cutters compared to average side cutters. On one occasion it was necessary for me to cut a whole bunch of little steel springs (about 100) and as i got tired using a wire cutter from "Wisent" (Size 180mm), i thought i am going to try these combination pliers from knipex (145mm) on them instead. Allthough it was shorter, it was way easier to cut the springs AND i then also used them to put the springs into place!
