    I was 12 back in 2010 and got introduced to messi
    Internet wasn't strong back then
    But i used to get the paper cuttings of messi and stayed up late night to watch his weekend la liga matches

    Just admit it, the beauty of football has been hidden from us for too long. I got into the sport since 2014 because of my South American wife. Now it has been 10 years that I have been watching this sport and it truly is the most beautiful. And then you wonder why American culture never accepted it until recently. And it’s only because of social media like CZcams that we have more access to it and we can watch new and old videos of its greatness.

      Oh it is Americas hidden Gem. I really hope it takes over the US as the #1 sport because I'm SICK of the way the US sports teams have ruined The NFL and NBA. We need this. The people. Just don't know known it yet . I even like watching the Wrexham doc. It's so cool to see a team get promoted or Relegated. So much at stake! It's so cool. I would like to see the seasons end in a playoff championship instead of points.

      @@daveandjessdivorced yeah, I’m with you! That is one of the aspects of American sports I do like a lot, probably the only one, is the playoffs. But all European leagues do have a playoff system just slightly different because they play in the middle of the season, not at the end. The things I really hate about American sports are the draft system. Giving the crappiest team the best upcoming players. What?? And how poor teams are not punished at the end of the system by getting kicked out of the league. And omg…. All those BORING commercials from timeouts and injuries. Soccer is so cool because the games carry on. The sport is very fluid like what Luke Sports Academy says once in awhile. I’m glad you two like the sport a lot now. It’s more than a just sport though. It’s basically life in most other countries lol. Hopefully one day it’ll be like that here 🤞

    REAL MADRID (ronaldo’s team, the rich spanish capitals club and arguably most successful in terms of history)

    North Americans simply can’t grasp the understanding of what Messi means to the world. His cultural meaning globally is more than anything the people of the US could or will ever understand. Close to 1/4 of the planet’s population watched Messi lift the World Cup. The story arch’s of the likes of Pele, Garrincha, Puskas, Maradona, Zidane, and more recently Cristiano, Leo, Neymar, and Kylian etc. act as beacons of hope for billions globally and they are all of genuine biblical status. The way in which you have reacted to this video is quite simply disrespectful in that you clearly are not showing that much of an interest to this ancient sport of ours. One can never mention Jordan in the same breath as the sportspersons previously mentioned. Jordan is an American brand to many, yes, however he means nothing in the sporting world, compared to these- and many more. Hopefully as you get into the sport more you’ll begin to understand this, however I doubt you will as you appear to be dillydally-ing for the views in typical North American fashion. Milking it.

    No way you guys consider messi a Goat, he was a unique and unseen player when he was in barcelona, A goated player but CR7 is way ahead. CR7 is 2 years older and still performs better. AT age 35 messi was in france leauge Top5 leauge struggling while at age 37 CR7 was in Premiere league Top 1 leauge of football scoring hattrick and carrying his team against the best teams of football. Messi at age 36 joins MLS Ronaldo at 36 was in Italy leauge( Top 3 and the most defensive leauge ever scoring 101 goals in 126 games at age 36🤣, won Italy leauge, Won spanish leauge, Won English leauge and scored 100+ goals in all of them, stats always wont show the reality. You guys have the channel full of messi fans who are little younger and probably started watching after Lockdown. Cr7 has done it in all leagues, with the best coaches and players. In all systems, he flourished until age 38. He joined Saudi leauge because he was close to retirement and was old. Unlike CR7, Messi was a one system player, needed certain players to feed him goals, Messi at age 35 after leaving Barcelona flopped at france leauge(top 5) scoring just 6 goals in whole seasons while Ronaldo at age 37 scored 17 goals in 35 matches at PL(Top 1 leauge). Ronaldo has 95% of the UCL stats and won more UCL. And UCL is like the worldcup for Club football. Worldcup has bad teams like USA, mexico, Ghana, etc while in Club football their final destination is to win UCL which has all the top best team ls from top 5 leauge in football and cR7 dominated that while messi was a ghost.

I did see some of CR, I know he is awesome, a bit cocky and arrogant, but I like that grit. His footwork is AMAZING and there is no doubt he is next level.

    • @Ken777zz
      @Ken777zz Před 27 dny +1

      @daveandjessdivorced bit cocky and arrogant💀, from the cherry picked CZcams videos of messi fans, noway you said CR7 is cocky and arrogant, ik you are new and it's totally OK to think like that cuz you have total media support to messi. They portray messi as a hero and Ronaldo as a Villian, and new fans believe that too, this is why hate is increasing towards a guy who have given so much to football in 20+ years. Yk Players like Messi are famous because they are rivals to Ronaldo and Real Madrid. Ronaldo made football famous, not football, and that's the difference. I will give you some points, and you figure out who is humble and who is not.
      Most charitable athlete/footballer ever: CR7
      Promoters of workout plans, water companies, no tattoo, no coca cola = CR7. Do you know why CR7 doesn't have a tattoo because he donates blood every year at least twice ? He said it in an interview and has many articles.
      Promoter of Burger, Lays, Pepsi: Messi, the humble guy.
      The man who has only donated 1m+ euro once in a lifetime and that was in earthquake was Messi💀.
      Ronaldo = Saudi Money 200Mil a year
      Messi= USA money that comes with his addidas and Apple deals and contracts which will benefit him more than that 1bil from Saudi that he rejected💀. Messi is a business man. Ronaldo too but Ronaldo knows his value, his influence, and he always influenced good things like fragrance, water, physical health, and mentality while we know the history of messi promoting lays and burgers in instagram.
      If you call a man who believes in himself, thinks highly of himself, and has reasons to back it up, then sure, go ahead and think like that. I am not hating, but I am just sick of Messi fans manipulating new comers with their videos. They literally show young angry Ronaldo and manipulate it as an arrogant man while he was always a serious man who wants to win and he did it too. The most games won by a player in football history= CR7, the most games played by a footballer ever (1200+) is CR7. The most goal scored by a player in finals= CR7. The most finals won= CR7.
      Talking about stats Messi has like a Toyota stats and CR7 has like a Lambo stats. Messi stats= balloon dor( vote award biased player wins), key passes💀 who tf cares about key passes, successful dribbles and assists. They say vision, passing💀. Ronaldo being played as a striker and winger most of his career has 260+ assists and he is in Top 6 highest assists. Ronaldo stats= More UCL won, More UCL player of the tournament won, Most goals scored, most final wins, speed, agility, footwork, a pure athlete.
      I am sure messi fans tried to show you video where they compared their against each other stats.
      Expectation= Messi won more matches against CR7 which is 16 and CR7 only won 10 against messi.
      Reality:- Ronaldo against Messi and Batcelona= 4 Major tournament final won.
      Messi against Ronaldo 1 major tournament won which was back in 2009 while Ronaldo was in Man utd🤣 after coming back from a injury.
      Messi fans are Masters of manipulation and cherry picking stats.Who tf cares about Messi being World champions, only a Messi fan. The reality is Argentina is a world champions and whole world accepts and appreciates that. There were many players in that squad who carried the team along with old 35 year old messi who was just a hype.

      @Ken777zz Před 27 dny

      @daveandjessdivorced You talk about messi has all trophies. Ronaldo too has all trophies and awards except World cup. And. The truth is Portugal is not a giant world cup country. 1 man doesn't win Worldcup. Ask any messi fan. Didn't they consider Messi a Goat in 2021 while he didnt have a worldcup while Pele had 3. And R9 had 2 who played against far better teams than messi played in WC.
