- brett scallions singing the song daniel cold live at the chapel. Very few people can cover a song and have it be as great as this, i have always said nothing beats the original, but in this very rare case, brett's version of daniel beats the original.

I was floored by this. I was listening to the prerecorded version on Fuel's album and came upon this. This live version sounds even better than the prerecorded one. Amazing job by Brett.

I just want to say.. I saw fuel at Nashville City Winery the other day. I've always been a huge fan but when I heard Brett Scallions sing live, it changed my life forever. This cover is so amazing. I play it over and over. It gives me goosebumps.

This is the exact way they sung this at Common Ground in Michigan many a many years ago. I remember it clearly & the feeling of awe that took over me that night while this song was being played, for years I've thought about that & how much I wish cell phones would have been out back then to captured that moment! You really can't compare Elton John and Brett Scallions. Two different vocalists with two very amazing voices. When you know a vocalist has nailed a cover, is when you feel the same as you do when you hear the original. This song gives you just that.
This is amazing. The power in his voice back then was untouchable. His voice is kinda like Adam of 3DG. Unique.

His voice, the energy and emotions he puts into this song is what makes this version spectacular, which is why alot of people like it, brett is definitely talented. you are entitled to your opinion, and I respect it, i just dont agree with it.

Powerful. This is one of my favorite Elton songs, and this version is a great interpretation of the original. I think you captured and expressed a lot of what he probably felt at the time.

The passion was everywhere, perfect for his voice. No offense but I actually prefer Brett's cover to the original by EJ.

my stepdad is my childhood bully but one thing he did that was cool was to learn this guitar because he knew I liked this cover and he liked the original and the cover (15 years ago) we jammed it one or twice and it wasn’t great but I felt like I had a dad for a bit doing it. When he dies I’ll sing this at his funeral.
