Let's make the ultimate movie poster frame that fits multiple sizes and stores your extra posters!
I love displaying my movie posters, but with limited wall space, I have to rotate them often. Rolling and storing them was cumbersome, so I designed a frame that:
Fits two standard sizes (24"x36" and 27"x40")
Uses a French cleat system for easy hanging
    Stores extra posters
First, build the storage frame with 1"x1" strips for 1" depth. Use a French cleat for easy hanging. Assemble the frame to 27.5" x 40.5" interior dimensions.
Paint the frame to match your poster frame. Attach the French cleat to the poster frame.
Cut matboard to use 24"x36" posters in a 27"x40" frame. Prep foam board with metal strips for storing posters using strong Neodymium magnets.
Mount the frame on the wall, ensuring it's level. Place your favorite poster in the frame, and store extra posters securely with magnets.
Now you can easily swap posters for different occasions. It’s functional and stylish! Let me know if you build this or have ideas for improvements!

I would have painted the cleat on the wall the color of the wall to become invisible, even if you think it's not visible with the poster frame (cool, btw) in place. There may come a time when the poster frame is down for an extended time, and you don't want a hunk of black wood screwed into your wall. Just a thought.

@@travisderose I iwlldo - Im working on a project that might entail a slightly deeper constriction to go on a wall or on top of a mantelpiece . Beyond the posters whoch woudl be the artistic front - i need to find a way to store gameboards, and a white board for darwing or screen . All of these need to be hidden inside the artistic front- its awfully ambitious and multi pupose but your project gave the impetus for a solution I have pondering for a long time . im going to bring in a carpente and leat him see your video as a staring point - the french cleat might be a useful way forward
