Man's is living his best life and I'm glad a broke boi like me with an ST has been part of this channel for years. Cam is Block are the reasons I got my ST. Can't afford all the bells and whistles rn, but it brings me joy seeing and idol making it and I'm just as happy seeing this content. Please keep it coming.

Really smart move getting those wheels ceramic coated before you threw them on the RS, Cam! Loving how this build is turning out so far!

My brother in RS Heaven, I have got some recommendations for you!
Gel inlays for the RS indentation on the wing - I went with black and its surprisingly tasteful and really sets it off.
ForScan - Turn on the "Hidden" Customizable Drive mode
Turbosmart 50/50 + Boost Reference Adapter - perfect combo of "Adult" but still get those nice blow off sounds when you want them. The adapter bypasses the electric BPV control giving you more reliable boost without any leaking from the BCM interfering.
Exhaust Valve Delete - Keep that exhaust valve always open regardless of drive mode
CPE Stage 2 Rear Motor Mount - hands down the best RMM for the platform with minimal NVH increase while giving you plenty of engine feel in your pedals.
I'm sure I have other stuff as I have done a fair amount of work to my own RS.
Would love to hear more about your thoughts on your BC coilovers, Im rocking the stocks with springs and would love to hear more about the change in terms of ride quality, performance, pros/cons, that kind of thing.
Last unsolicited tip - Get you a punch and a nylon hammer, and remove the pins on your front calipers - just went through replacing both my fronts cause the one had a pin that rusted to the caliper and the other had a stripped bleeder screw from factory, not super expensive to replace but still quite a headache to go through so I'd recommend every now and then popping those out, cleaning them with a brillo pad and putting them back to try and combat that for the future.
I also second the ZL1 addons rock guards, so much nicer looking that full mudflaps and does the job well, I have 245/40r18s that are 8.5" inches wide and have no complaints with the ZL1 rock guards.
Last thing for the track mode issue with the new coilovers - If you immediately turn off the sport suspension mode (by pressing the button at the end of the left stalk on the wheel), the error never comes up.

Thanks for the info- I was looking into getting a BOV - Just got my RS in December, currently in the shop getting repaired for getting rear-ended at a red light. Is the 50/50 just the BOV setting?
@@Matty_Ice9 it’s basically the way it’s designed. It’s 50/50 recirc/blow off. Under light load it’s gonna act as a recirc valve like the stock one. Under more boost it will vent to atmosphere. Which is why it’s the more “adult” option as opposed to blowing off every other second.
Just don’t forget the boost reference adapter. Will change the entire way the boost acts and prevents any of it bleeding off cause the factory electronic recirc valve is a POS

I personally like the Black roof on the RS, what be better with it would be to get the Wing black and the letters filled in Blue like on the Special editions for the 2018s

RS owner here, Ive got Project 6 GR wheels in 19x9, love your wheels. That being said mud flaps were one of my first mods. Complete the rally look!
Love seeing people get their dream parts! They're not exactly to my taste but you made them look great. I'm planning on keeping the forged wheels and I'm sad I can't just throw the cquartz I'll be using on the rest of the car on em since they're satin.
My biggest visual pain point on any NB RS is the red brakes and reflectors. To me, now that you have white wheels they stand out even more, but I don't think anything else will match either. Looking forward to see where you go with the aesthetics!

Just an FYI for the RS. The factory alignment on the steers "toes out" a little bit, which gives the RS that incredible steering feeling. The bad part of this is that your tires start to wear into a slight cone shape. All RSs do this from the factory.
Also, if you hit the throttle balls deep when you get on a highway and you're getting into the fast lane, you feel the RS wants to steer its own way. Keep both hands on that steering wheel, or you might go off the road. It's scary as hell.
I got an alignment when I got new tires, and what a difference it made. No more wander steering under heavy load and no cone shaped tires.
It's good to see a new guy posting good content on the mighty RS after all these years.

Definitely get mud flaps. They look great on the car and protect from rocks as well as car doesn't get dirty as much.

Looks great. ZL1 addons are the best looking flaps and they work wonders for keeping the side of the car cleaner.
I work for a tire wholesale company and I literally see and touch tires all day everyday and let me tell you BFG has some of the best quality tires for sure and also you need to put some mud flaps on it

Hey man! Awesome setup. I actually went with the same exact wheel and tire combo you have on my RS. Love it. I would definitely recommend adding the mud flaps. It just changes to whole look and looks fantastic

I think this is one of the rare exceptions where I would keep the stock wheels. I think they look the best out of most things I’ve seen
@@Tanner_Teves agreed, I love the stock wheels. I have Anovia kinetic Rims in bronze which look amazing but I only put them once in a blue moon.
Same not really a fan of the wheels but I still support it.
Had a 245 on my RS and changed it after a few months. Looked like a monster truck to me. Stock tire size is aesthetically what it should be.
I threw 265’s on my stock snowflakes. I was maxed out on my bilstein coils as well. Only rubbed a tiny bit on the front on harsh bumps on those rare occasions you don’t pay attention and rattle your brain lol.

I absolutely love those wheels I put them on my ST and I’m most likely going to put mud flaps on it cuz when it’s rainy or sloshy out it will throw it up on the car

Heck yes! love watching the process. Your ST videos have helped me tons since getting mine a year ago. Question, about to order the wrap, but i'm not sure how to go about the wing. I have wrapping experience, but just thinking about this gives me the chills. Any tips?
you can approach it in 2-3 pieces. Do the bottom side first, then wrap the top. You will have overlap from the top piece and will have to trim some off. - I recommend you watch how to use knifeless tap on a lot of videos and youll see how people do it and using it to layer things
