  • If you haven't heard of this simple trick before, then you'll be getting this done on your Jeep really soon. Leaves, dirt, rocks, mud, pine needles, literally anything that falls onto your Jeep can and probably will get stuck in the gaps that your Jeep Wrangler Rubicon or Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with highline Rubicon flares came with. These flares are awesome, but the junk that gets trapped in there is not. Pressure cleaning, hosing, vacuuming are all losers when it comes to getting that stuff out of the gaps, and it's not uncommon to have to use a pick or something else to get those things out of there. This very simple 7mm thick closed cell EPDM foam tubing is the common go-to to fill in these flares. The kit we used off Amazon was $30 (higher than I would have thought), and it's 0.276" outside diameter, which is right at 7mm, and 0.206" inside diameter, not that it matters.
This stuff is easily pliable when warmed (it's an 85 degree day here in Florida for this installation) and a simple plastic trim tool and scissors is all that's needed for the installation.
We are not at all affiliated with Amazon or this product, just sharing what we used:
