  • In this video Legacy Woodworking Machinery Introduces the 2023 Renegade 5x10 CNC Router Machines. Cabinet & Furniture making business asked if we could manufacture a CNC that solves 6 problems.
    1. They wanted to handle unique materials that came in 5x5 & 5x10 sheet sizes.
    2. They wanted a way to surface, thickness plane and join large wooden slabs.
    3. When processing 4x8 sheet goods they also wanted a faster and easier way to switch to the turning center without removing table fixtures.
    4. They wanted to machine turnings up to a 15” swing diameter.

How much sanding is required after milling, especially on the four axis tool?

That is a great question, It really depends upon what you are doing. If you are 3D carving then it is about the same time as you would do with a 3D carving on the flat table. If you are machining with router bit profiles then the sanding really is minimal because you are using the bits geometry to create the shape and as long as the bit is sharp the cuts are clean and smooth.
