Chapter 3-7: Rivals Collide (Easy mode). Just a normal playtrough. In easy mode, it's not very difficult to reach the south-west part of the map and kill off the Dawn Brigade.
I didn't grind anything, all stat boosters were used, and most of the units (of not everyone) had PoR transfers. I had Haar and Boyd trained because only they stand a chance against the Black Knight with a Hammer. Haar got his Hammer from Kieran in Chapter 2-E, and Boyd's Hammer is transfered from he Dawn Brigade through Ilyana.
Note that killing the Black Knight now means you can't view Ike's memory scene in the part 4 endgame. Both must engage in combat, and survive. Killing everyone else doesn't affect the story in any way. The conversation between Soren and Micaiah is needed to see the final scene between Soren and Almedha. The easiest way to do this is by giving Calill's Meteor to Soren via Nephenee/Brom/Lethe/Mordecai.
Why Easy mode? Because there's no need to grind, and the levels of the Dawn Brigade members compared to the Greil Mercenaries is a bit higher overall. However, only Edward was a threat (and I was very lucky on that one). Normal mode should also be very possible, but could be a bit of a rush. Hard mode seems nearly impossible to me without excessive grinding.. Giving all experience to Boyd and give him some Hand Axes might do the trick.
Improvements:
- Supports weren't optimal for this chapter. Especcially Boyd could use a Fire/Wind support with Mia or Nephenee, he can use the accuracy boost.
- Should have used Reyson before engaging Edward and the Black Night to boost Shinon's and Boyd's biorythm to maximum, since I had enough time.
- Transferring Nolan's Nihil via Illyana to Boyd would be very helpful.
- Shouldn't give the Black Knight a chance to attack Ike at 1 range, the danger of activating Eclipse is not... comfortable.
- I took Soren just for his conversation with Micaiah, but I'd rather use Mist because of her healing abilities and B-support with Boyd.
- In the end, the shoving in the beginning was unnecessary, but gives a bit more time just to be sure.
- Having a battle between Ranulf and the Black Knight would be nice. • Fire Emblem: Radiant D...
- Forging a Javelin for Nephenee wouldn't hurt.
- Sound/music could be better, but whatever.

I kinda laughed when the Black Knight got smashed with Boyd's hammer.
The hammer is just comically big, thats what makes it so great!
Legendary Knight who is feared on the battlefield by all but one man (Ike) got hit by a hammer thats 5 times as big as a normal one, and his bones got shattered underneath his armor that has been blessed by the gods themselves. Its really funny when you think about it!
I feel so pathetic now, I didn't even get a quarter of the enemies down when I beat this chapter a few minutes ago... almost want to stop playing and just cry in a corner for a bit.
It's on ez-mode? This level is much harder on "normal" oder hard mode.

Black Knight was the only threatening unit. If he was on your side, he can defeat the dawn brigade easily.
Of course he can, his armor is freaking invincible, even if he claims that the blessing has worn off. Also, why has no one on Daein's side commented on the fact that he wields Alondite, a national treasure of Begnion?
@@hannahmonteiro9229 I'm really late to the party but probably the reason no one comments on it is that none of them recognize that it is Alondite. Most people, especially outside of Begnion would ever be allowed to see a national treasure. The black knight also being one of Ashnard's strongest generals would make it seem normal for him to have an extremely powerful weapon.
AKA Ike showing Micaiah who the real protagonist is
I like how since the Dawn Brigade is so under leveled in this game, the generic Daien soldiers are usually stronger than them here.

I actually used Elincia to heal marcia with her mend staff, then a half beaten dracoknight came up to Elincia, thinking he could take her since she only had a staff.
I don't know how or why, but Elincia ended up killing the dracoknight.

I had PoR transfers for all the characters I used. I didn't grind anything, just used all experience I could get as effective as possible (no exp to units I don't use; Haar doing some chapters in part 2 solo: using all bonus exp and stat boost items: defeating enemies with my lowest leveled unit...), and this is easy mode, which gives way more experience.
No, green weapons are forged weapons, you can give them also custom names if you want to do so. In this chapter, my forged weapons are based on the default Steel weapon, but are much stronger.

I recently played through this chapter again on normal and got almost all the convos, even brom and megs convo (I missed the soren/micaiah convo). I've had this game for quite a while and I never knew Zihark and the two hawks that show up could be recruited.
What's Brom and Meg's Convo? Dose Brom recruit Meg?

thanks for that. just because of your video i restarted the game after reaching this chapter cuz i felt so ashamed of my game and ive done much better so far, but i guess with easy mode it would make more sense. but what about some of he items i saw, like a bow which was glowing green. is that also from PoR transfer?
You can solo this map with Soren on max stats and a forged max lightning tome...he can even kill the Black Knight by himself with a bit of luck.

im wondering the same thing. it could be that he imported the save from path of radiance and had a level advantage, and although im not using the bonus exp, this guy is just way out of my league

use a reaper card to attack micaiah with reyson also you can do it with dhaegnesia en part 4 to activate a conversation in blank

The level ups didn't attract my attention, maybe it's possible that several stats were already capped? Otherwise, level ups are still a game of (bad) luck.

+SirWilliamofCamelot in case you're still in the dark. The PAL versions of this game has a few differences: you've seen the sentinel/lancer thing, astra is renamed astrum, Kyza is renamed Kysha and the last difference I know off the top of my head is that Dheginsea is renamed Deghinsea.
I have no idea why some names were altered in the PAL version but they were.

if you bring over a save-file from Path of Radiance, if your chars had any max stats they will get a bonus in Radiant Dawn.
