- Citizen Cope performs "Lifeline"
February 26, 2010
River Music Hall
Cope sings and strums with an easy manner that doesn’t feel like a performance at all. It feels more like we walked into his bedroom and found him practicing in his PJs, or discovered him singing with bare feet under a tree, where the air breathes sweet at the mountain’s peak.

Music and people -both are best when they aren’t confined by labels. And a radio station that connects the two should be independent, intelligent, and diverse, like the minds of its listeners. At 92.5 the River, we celebrate that diversity every day, playing music that weaves a rock-and-roll tapestry across time and genres. Our playlist includes elements of alternative, acoustic, blues, folk, reggae, and other forms of music. You’ll hear a blend of current releases from today’s artists, your favorites from the 80s and 90s, and a few deep album cuts from the 60s and 70s. You’ll also hear artists and songs that have never been played on the radio before, because we believe that discovering new music is one of life’s simple joys, and we love to share that joy with our listeners.
If your relationship with music runs deep, and you enjoy a playlist that’s just as deep, tune in to 92.5 the River -Boston’s Independent Radio!

This man makes some of the realest music. Period.
Stones are easy to find, while diamonds are rough. Citizen Cope is one of them who tell stories which we can relate to. Thank u for the stories through music 🙏
Gem... still in 2021... a gem 💎
If you've come looking for hard times
Hard times ain't hard to find
Cause we've been given that lifeline
Only once in a lifetime
🖤
Idk how a song could be more perfect. He’s so underrated
you know that feel when you find a musician that can soothe your every hurt emotion and make the hair stand up on your neck? This is that feel.
Great song
🖤🖤🖤
putting things into perspective recently
it's absolutetly amazing how much clarence and my nephew look alike, scary really.
I showed him once and he damn near cried.
what got me was his response. he said I may look like him but I damn sure wish I had his talent.
It made me think, yeah, don't we all wish that.
Most beautiful song ive ever heard
lovely song and lovely voice...blessing
love this guy, great artist!
This here in front of us stands a hero. His expression and soul look tired, tired from fighting for the liberation of the masses. These mass of people have been fooled into conforming to the teachings of meaningless, delusional and repetitive art that they pay billions of dollars for. Clarence Greenwood keep fighting brother, You liberated me.
Diabol0s1 damn.
Perfect.
awesome voice
WOW
No There Not Hard Times , We Were Born To It !!
Thank you Mat Mchugh for leading me to this musician.
On of the best
This guy has so much talent! His lyrics are so inspiring and he writes about things that we should actually care about instead of the typical money and sex hip hop scene. I love his "lazy" yet totally soothing voice. He looks sad and reserved but you can hear his passion for his music and his messages. He is an amazing artist! He is mesmerizing to hear and watch.
It's a good song... good luck
This is REAL music !
@lancearmstrong Live strong watch this song by @citizencope .It will make you feel good right now

@angryrobotftw Listen to this great song by @citizencope my man .you will love it and get it party on
His songs hold up as well with a full ban as it does with just him solo.
yee, hardtimes
Only just realised that Cope looks like Charles Bukowski
As a guitar player, it drives crazy when the instrument is just off camera. There's more to a performance than just singing into a microphone.
So good!Unfortunatly, the guy filming didn't do a good job!It should 've been film seeing his guitar play...
