I have had my MyChrons 2T for 2 years, and today at training before a race tommorow my egt (exhaust temp) sensor stopped working. Then i bought a new exhaust temp at the track shop - and the new exhaust sensor worked for 1 practice but in the second practice it also stopped working. So i might have destroyed to exhaust sensors today. Have anyone tried this or maybe i can reset the Laptimer?

hey Jasper, awesome, have fun. What track are you going to? because you don't have to change gears a Rotax, you can set them to go green or red for you sector times, green if your up and red if your down. that way you can tell if you're being awesome or if you cocked something up.

My son says he tried to set it up the way you recomended but it does'nt seem to work. I'll see if there is something he missed in the instructions but he's more technical than me so I doubt it. @@jesperek6402 I just tried to find it on google images. what is the problem you have? in the video I think my LED's were set up for shift lights on the KZ gearbox kart, but you can select the LED's to be for other settings from memory.
I have my sector lights as described, green for up and red for down but most importantly is set your warning lights to some other colour! I almost missed my engine overheating massively because I mistook the red light for a bad sector. I changed my warning light to a blinking yellow so it stands out from the normal LED's you see every lap.

A bit of digging here but I don't have the split times/rolling lap/theoretical lap page, I have all the other ones though. Any reason for that? Beacon mode set to Automatic and I only use GPS for the lap time.
I have seen that before. Someone told me that was a software update. But does your track have splits built into it/have you seen split times on other peoples dashes at your track??

I am from New Zealand and race in the rotax max light division I am moving to the Gold Coast and I am wondering my racing gear (suit helmet gloves ect ) that is legal in New Zealand will that be all legal in Australia and is my kart legal aswell or is there different rules ?
Hello power republic, I just started go karting and I have a mychron 5. I also have a temp sensor (for the cylinder head) but I can’t see the temperature on the screen. I made a custom display setup where I should be abele to see the temperature but it is not showing up. Do I need to set the sensor up somewhere or what am I doing wrong. I hope you can help me. I love your videos I have learnt a lot of them.
Hi Maxim, thanks for the positive vibes! make sure you turn off the the first 2 factory setting 'non custom' display settings. otherwise I think the factory settings over rule your custom 1 page. home that helps

from the home screen you need to press the 'mem' button 4 times and that should bring up the split times/rolling lap/theoretical lap page. let me know how that goes for you?

Abel Fuentes the great thing about the Mychron is that each new edition builds on the previous model. The only major difference for the 4 is with the GPS being an add too, not integrated. All the button are similar with almost the same functions. And to download on the 4 you have to get a data key and save you files on it, then plug the data key into your lap top and then use race studio for analysis. Hope that helps.

Any feature that only works when the track is recognized should be disregarded as a feature since there will always be tracks that aren't in there and the the percentage of unrecognized tracks will increase over the years.

that sucks, reset it anyways to see. also check the connection to the unit and at the sensor/extension lead junction

@@PowerRepublic try google Järfälla gokart/Järfälla MK or Järfälla hyrkart :) and I think we'll fix the leds now thank's to your tips and video :)

click the button in Maps that says 'clear all'. then you can 'divide' the track into how many sections you like.

Garret Britton we use the OTK Mount mostly. DPE kart superstores have a cool new stainless steel one as well now.

LCU one plugs stright into the mychron 5 head unit. or you can buy the expansion hub and plug it into that as well.

still the Mychron really is the go to. I haven't used the Alfano software enough to tell you. but the units themselves are almost identical

I don't have one, but it is literally one nut on the back of the unit and then run the RPM lead to the tack wire.

Best rolling lap? That’s the best sectors from any 2 consecutive i.e sector 2 , 3 then 1 from the next lap to make a best lap time

Andrew Farlow not that I’m aware of. You can read the numbers pretty easy on the fly.

nah it should turn on by itself when the engine starts. you have to have the RPM lead on but
