      @@TogaHasSimpsAndImNumberOne No? According to google kinetic sand is made of "fine sand and polydimethylsiloxane (also called dimethicone)", it's never been edible. Neither has moon sand or any other variation that is like, store bought. However! I am pretty sure there are recipes online to make edible kinetic sand, or at least something similar.

      It's rice. If you just keep grinding and pressing rice together, you end up with a kind of dough. It still tastes the same, but has this amazing gummy, chewy texture.

    Both the song and food are bringing back memories, I used to eat this as a kid while I watched Spirited Away, one of my fav Ghibli films
    Edit: okay in China, the name is an osamanthus cake, but in Vietnam we call it Banh In, it’s similar but it has mung bean filling instead of pomegranate-for the people asking :)

      Yes lol it looks like kinetic sand but it's rice, with milk and sugar. The filling varies, my mom generally adds fresh fruits and it's so delicious. It's asian food . I'm half thai korean so it's common in my house

    BGMのせいで日本の菓子かと思ったら知らんものだったから検索した、『桂花糕(グイホアガオ)』は中国の菓子らしい。調べると「金木犀の花(桂花)とクコの実を寒天で固めた爽やかなゼリー」って書いてあるサイトもあれば「回族街の名物郷土菓子でもち米の上に茶色いナツメが並べられカステラの様に焼いたもの」って書いてあるところもある(地域よって違うらしい、八つ橋みたいなことか?)
    この動画はゼリーにも焼き菓子にもならなそうだけど……
