As a Turk, i LOVE pizza, but pide is just… at another level. Just like pizza, pide can have a lot of different styles. Most common one is called “kuşkaş” (short for “kuşbaşılı kaşarlı”) which is made with kashar cheese (which is a Turkish cheese type, we call it “kaşar” here) and meat that has been cut into tiny dices
There's a Ukrainian/Georgian version we've been enjoying where the dough is a bit thicker, so it becomes more bread like. An egg gets cracked on top a couple of minutes before you finish baking to leave a runny yolk, which you then stir into the cheese with some butter when it's served.
@KygoCalvinHarris-xu4kv 😂 you haven't been out of the house have you? Or you don't live in the USA. Because the places i been smacks. Authentic Italian pizza is bread tomato sauce and a tiny bit of cheese. Where's the meat? Americans are who added all the other ingredients.....

Wow I didn't know they make it in Turkey too. This is all over Syria called Sfiha (the meat ones) and Fatayer Jibne (the cheese+parsley ones).
If i manage to get a woman that cooks like you, That'd make my day
Yummmmm. Can't wait to try your recipe!

me as a turkish person glancing towards italy: now ma'am let's calm down there's no need to start something xD
You must have at least one child. The plain cheese one gives it away….Tom
The cleanest loop ever 👏🏻😌
There's a Ukrainian/Georgian version we've been enjoying where the dough is a bit thicker, so it becomes more bread like. An egg gets cracked on top a couple of minutes before you finish baking to leave a runny yolk, which you then stir into the cheese with some butter when it's served.
It’s called khachapuri and it’s a Georgian dish. Ukraine has nothing to do with it.
We sometimes crack an egg on our pides too
we do same thing pide has different in many Turkish city you can search "Karadeniz pidesi" , " Etli Etmek / pide " ....
As a turkish guy, I like pizza more, but I don’t think that’s weird since tomato cheese and bread is an extremely common pairing in turkey too
Yes the Italian, french made pizza not an American made one which is commercial
That's what she should've said
@@KygoCalvinHarris-xu4kvbecause all we have here in the USA is little Ceasars?
@KygoCalvinHarris-xu4kv 😂 you haven't been out of the house have you? Or you don't live in the USA. Because the places i been smacks.
Authentic Italian pizza is bread tomato sauce and a tiny bit of cheese. Where's the meat?
Americans are who added all the other ingredients.....

Yum! They look like lovely Sunday food! 😊
I'm Romanian, but living in Italy I will let out the Italian in me: " niente è meglio della pizza napoletana "
Americans think their pizza better :D and that's a crime
"This might be better than Pizza"
**makes pizza with different shape**
That's what I was thinking!! I mean it looks good but it's still pizza 😊
According to food records in history. This existed way before than pizza

Fatira created in the BCs by ancient arabs

As a Turkish i can say you literally bake a pide . Bon appetit ❤
As a turkish guy your pide is approved to be authentic. You even had turkish salca. One thing i can reccomed is crack an egg on top of the ground beef one i usually order one with egg and one without extra cheese is also an option you gone for just cheese which is delish too.
Turkish food has been my favourite cuisine for the past 15 years. Absolutely delicious!!!!
Wow, looks amazing😊
Honstly idgaf about the food. Your video style is what real cooks are looking for. Straight to the point listed ingredients spoken well and plainly. Good on you and you have my respect.
You can’t honestly be praising this short that much when it contains little to no instruction for actual cooking, my guy.
She doesn’t even have THE NAME OF THE DISH LISTED ANYWHERE.
It’s apparently “pide” but she says it quietly and only like once.
Her ingredients include flour (what kind? Bread? AP? Cake?) and some mystery meats that I can’t figure out because of how quiet and fast she talks.
@@eXJonSnow your problem with the short is clear to me, this type of format is not intended for you. Feel free to go back and watch an hour long video about how to fry an egg and have a nice day.
@@slayer7160 Ah yes, instead of pointing out the aspects of the video that appealed to you as a "real cook," you could instead just assume incompetence on my part. K
The dough though looks interesting I love how you seasoned the meat❣️
I'm not gonna lie they look absolutely fire
If you can’t find a recipe for Pide, look for Khachapuri. That’s the version they make in the Republic of Georgia. I believe the dish originated in Turkey.
My bf is Turkish and also a chef and he made me one of these but with different ingredients it's really wayyyy much better than pizza!
