Top fuel is incredible bikes or cars.
I have a question with the cars they seem to have a complete taredown after each run and replace as necessary, how often dose this happen with the bikes, i can see that its more of a work up to do because of access but its not about access its a needs must thing

It takes off faster than a f16 so it needs wings just like a fighter jet Regular street bikes are a little yo fast to.

@@cycledrag Jeff Marsh is a good buddy of mine, he builds them and had the NW record for awhile, I filmed a 6.5 pass @211 trackside a couple seasons back. So the thought of it crosses my mind more & more these days..

Well what I think is strange, is back in the early 80s Vance & Hines did this with a 700 horsepower Suzuki that went 6.69 in the quarter at 203 mph and that was like damn near 40 years ago, these guys with 1500 horse didn't even quite match Vance & Hines 🤔
You might have missed it, but it was shut down at half track, and it trapped 198 at the 1/8th, so... A bit different.

@@stevenking3286No, the ET is independent of the reaction time. Since he wasn't racing anyone, he could have sat there basically as long as he wanted after the light went green, and the ET would have been the same.

Before he staged the crewman flipped a valve on the right side , what was that because it seemed to dumped more fuel into it ( the exhaust changed big time 👍) ? Thanks
On top fuel fuel dragsters they do the same thing. When they do, it changes the fuel pump volume to wide open (mechanical type). I don't know if it's the same on a bike, but probably a good assumption

Not for long though. This is a new build, with a rider coming out of retirement. He'll be running 5s next season for sure. I think Larry did a 5.40 this year (?). Yes it's amazing, what Chris and colleagues have done in pro street but I doubt they'll match the Spiderman's times.

Are you at at familiar with Too Fuel? That Top Fuel bike is capable of running a faster e.t in the full quarter mile than the Hyabusa will run in the 1/8 mile.

To expensive for track insurance to cover the first time somebody run head on into that k rail their dead no cage like in a car. It will happen soon as the day that they open that type of racing their will be to many deaths back to back. Often are when one of those rockets on to wheels blow the fuck up their go body parts all in the stands and all over the race track. Just look at the damage when a top fuel funny car blow up. And on that bike that person legs is between the high horse power motor Nutt and legs blown the fuck up. We only made up of flesh and blood and bones. Not steel. To powerful and to dangerous is this bike. Any and every thing can and will go wrong at any giving time.
Hope he's got a bullet-proof vest on in case that engine or something else grenades.

Thats way way to much horsepower for to wheels and no cage to protect u. I love speed to but there is a thing called to much going that fast uneed to take off in the air.

You might not say that if you cracked the throttle and went 198 in 660 feet or 268 mph at 5.50 in front of 50K fans like Larry. These are smart men. There must be more to this than you realize.
