- This is a quick demonstration of how to get into Ford’s Engineering Test Mode in a 2019 Ranger. Most of it is basically gibberish, but shown here are the three cool features: gauge sweep, warning light test, and a digital speed/tachometer screen.

I just got a 2019 ranger XL trim full 4 door. I love it so far. Took it on a decent trip yesterday. It can cruise 90-95mph with ease. Kind of a stiff ride but I like that as a truck that can carry something will usually ride stiff. The motor has incredible torque at low rpm. Matched with a quick shifting 10 speed it is just fun to drive. Ford now makes a tune that enables 320 HP and 355 torque. Which is basically like a stock 5.3 LS 😮 I get 24mpg so far with 4k miles on it. Love the truck
use premium gas if u can afford it the ecoboost likes it better than 87
what tune is that? where do they sell that

How the heck do you disingauge the rear seat belt sensor......I have a '20 Ranger XLT extended cab & I took the seats out for more room......can't figure it out!
There is a test mode in sync 3 too I just forgot how to do it

The focus does a little bit of a different sweep its more fast and it has screen colors green,red,blue and like a static color like tv static color

I did hold the ok in 5 seconds but nothing happened.

@@EricAtMazda can you get navigation without using apple car play? I have seen some videos where the truck has a nav button on the 8" inch display screen without being plugged into a USB. The only i get navigation is if my iPhone is plugged into a USB and I use Apple Car play
@@davidjoseph7972 Yes, it has to have nav from the factory. It’s an individual factory option and usually if it has a nav button on the screen it has factory nav.
@@EricAtMazda ok thanks, mine does not have the nav button on the screen. I was wondering if I get the nav button to pop up with the correct ford sync app, but i guess not. I will just have to plug into the USB and use google maps.
Anyone know how to disable sync? It is a pita for me and would like to stop it searching for devices all the time ....I use a Bluetooth JBL speaker and stream music there ...the sync is not for me
How do you find the 10 speed automatic?
Brad Yakubovic It’s interesting, I like how it can skip gears both up and down. Seems to work well, put it in Sport mode and the truck feels lively. Driving videos to come when it’s more broken in!
That’s cool it will skip gears, did not know they operated like that. Look forward to the driving videos. I’ve seen just two here in Toronto Canada. Nice looking truck.
Brad Yakubovic Nice! Yeah the small throttle logic is 1-3-4-5-6, etc...10. The medium throttle logic is 1-2-4-6-7,etc...10.
I can imagine the rpm’s must be really low once your up to highway speeds and in 10th gear. Makes sense they would program it like that.
