I can't believe you're doing this. Thank you so much. That's what's been lacking in the artist/fan relationship, this inspiring communication. I've been wanting to make my own music, but the excruciating desire to do something great makes you insecure about technical details that you don't know about. I'll be watching every video on your channel. You're an icon for not acting like one. All the best from Brasil!
Your format is great man, watching how you made songs I’ve liked since I was a teen had been super cool. Failure brought me here, you keep me coming back.
Huge fan of your work! Definitely want to jump on this opportunity. Feels like you were talking directly to me as I’ve been working in my own home studio for the past 10 years!
Woah! I had no idea Ken mixed Echolocation by Gone Is Gone, no wonder I love that record so much! To me they're one of the most underrated groups in existence, Troy Sanders and Troy Van Leeuwen in the same project... I mean come on!! I love Failure and your channel Ken. As a music teacher and bassist who is just starting to work regularly in studios, the way you present this content in such a contextual and cohesive manner is so helpful for me and it inspires me to start working in similar capacities with my own projects. Thank you for all of this! I will support this as much as I can. Take care!
Yes, I did. 2 day mix that was. Well over 200 tracks. 2 complete drum kits and 70 something tracks of orchestra. Absolutely thrilling gig. Best part was playing my first draft for Anthony and just seeing how stoked he was to hear his vision finally presented in a solid mix. Not that he didn’t have changes, but the guts and dynamics were there and I could see he appreciated that.
Very cool way to look at it...Ive been recording with real amps and a 4 track and want to learn to use axe fx/kemper/ ir's etc. And Failure being my favorite group it just seems organically right.lol Have a good one Ken...see you on patreon👍and again Thank you!
Great! Just discovered this channel and now i'm excited. It would be cool to hear thoughts about mixing the live sound of a band (especially guitars) and the dependence of frequency response on loudness. But this is only small wish) Greetings from Russia)
Hey ken huge Failure fan man I want to learn how to get my music to sound fuller and I need to know the rms value that I need to look out for on the youlean vst plugin
Ken, what's up my man? This is a sick idea. I might need to jump on this. I am neck deep in doing it all for my tv show, a couple of music side projects, and more. Would be great to learn from you. I have recorded in big studios with everything in the world, but I can do pretty much everything at home in my UA eco-system. Would love to take my skills to the next level. Would you mind clarifying how the mix eval process works in tier 3? For example, I'm assuming you would get a mix per month evaluated by e-mail, or something along this line. Thanks and this is a great idea. Keep on crushing it brother. :)
Yes, I have another video over on my Patreon page that gives a much more detailed description of the tiers, but yes the highest tier get one song eval per month. I’ve already done about 10 of them and it’s going well.
@@KenAndrewsMusic Super rad Ken. I look at this as investing in ourselves and having you as a mentor is amazing. Kind of makes me hold myself accountable to keep pushing forward and cranking out content every month. I'm finally making a great living doing music, so I feel like I've already won. Being a part of your community will be icing on the cake. Plus, I think it will be cool to see how your Patreon community bonds and you never know what kind of great relationships that could lead to. Thanks for creating this and giving us some of your time to help us get to the next level. You don't always find that in our world. Have a great night.
My brother actually gifted me your tier 3 patreon. So psyched to be a part of the community. I bet some bands and amazing projects will come from our crew! Now, I just have to decide what to send you first. haha. We have a bunch of tracks we did for the tv show and maybe start with one of those. Do you know Shelly Yakus by any chance? Just curious because he mastered a bunch of tracks for us. Such a great dude with an amazing background. I'm so stoked to be a part of this community and can't wait to see what we all can achieve together. Rock on Ken and I will talk to you very soon. Gotta chase my bro down and get that login info. haha. Fingers crossed and you never know, maybe an AxeFx will be headed my way. :)
This video just made me realize why Echoplex from NIN is on of my favorite NIN tracks! It has that Ken Andrews magic mixing.
Yes !
I would gladly pay to see content from the self-titled Paramore album .. especially drums 🙌🏼 you go, Ken!

Child of the 80’s: embarrassed to tell you I’m late to the game on your music. Got here via the Fractal forum. Can’t wait to dig in.
Bro you mixed Oblivion?? That's one of my all time favorite songs from film!

I have mixed live sound in the past but have not in a long time. Check out Dave Rat's CZcams.
@@KenAndrewsMusic Thank you, Ken!
I had no idea Ken produced for so many big names.
That made them big names maybe

Hey, that’s awesome, but i didn’t understand if there will be exclusive videos on patreon or will they just be ad-free
As of now, no exclusive videos on Patreon, but tons of exclusive material, like stems and multitracks.
Would be interesting to have an explanation/song meanings. Maybe it would give us an idea on creativity with lyrics
I’m big on letting lyrics speak for themselves. I love how everyone interprets them differently.
i want alicia widar "stuck on you" cover reaction :(
I posted all over her social day it came out and DMd with her as well.
