    I have the limited edition iridescent kaweco sport. It was $27 and my other fountain pens were less than $12.5, so this was a huge step up in price for me. It's so beautiful, i don't regret anything. I use a shading purple color with the pen and it's a beautiful color combination.

    Kaweco makes terrific writing tools. Thanks for highlighting the student, which is almost criminally underrated. I recommend it to fountain pen newbies all the time. ❤

    I got a Kaweco Al Sport rosegold fountain pen three years ago as a graduation gift, and I am in love with it ever since. Such a great pen! I carry it with me everywhere. Although it seems small, I can write with it for a long time before I have to refill the converter. All time favourite.

    I have both the Perkeo (exact same one in black!) and the AL Sport. The regular Sport is too light for me, but the AL Sport's heft makes it nice to hold during long writing sessions.
    Thank you so much too, for showing off the Liliput and Supra! I didn't realise they were tiny pens!

      Their ef and f nibs can be alright, just terribly tuned, not for beginners, you need equipment like a magnifying Loupe and brass shim and maybe a feeler gauge too, I do not recommend, I don't understand why people recommend them to beginners so often, for me even their M's need work, if you only have used a kaweco, beginners options from pilot and lamy are way smoother

    • @SiennaArtsandCrafts

      😂 try the online , Highway of Writing mini plum fountain pen, top heavy as the cap is huge and the nib actually makes a scratching noise on all papers even super expensive cotton rag paper and sumi -e paper. My grandad laughed at me because I paid £27 in 2006 for that pen after he gave me his antique parker gold nib scarily expensive pen , he said what cam you expect? It's a cheap pen? I said granda seriously i could buy at least 100 pens for that ( in 2007) I wish he was still here so I could take a Kaweco or 3 and a Lamy to him to show him how brilliant pen companies are today.

    • @SiennaArtsandCrafts
      @SiennaArtsandCrafts Před 6 měsíci

      @@onyxwolf13f is very difficult to write with in all the fountain pen makes yet we all go for it first. Maybe because the biro and rollerball are so tiny? I don't know why? But my first pen no longer available and put me off fountain pens for 15 yr , the online highway of writing, which is about the same size as the kaweco sport but is metal and the lid/ cap is huge too heavy and horrible when posted but without it the pen is too short for big hands. I bought a sketch In brass on offer for 25£ and it is absolutely beautiful and brilliant! Yes we can buy cute Japanese pens , erasable with cute animal ears which I love but as soon as I get paid next Friday I'm buying a sport and ink . And they look beautiful as well as everyone saying they write great. Which nib is best for someone out of practice with fountain pens?

    I have the sketch in brass, I am shocked by the amount of people who say the 'lead' is too big and too soft, it's only 2b, and is absolutely brilliant for taking out plein air sketching. I would have preferred as 6b but the 2b is great ! All I can think is people didn't study art and presumed sketch would be a writing pencil. Very weird considering it's name. I love it! And unlike wood encased sketching pencils it's eco friendly too!

    I love the handy Kaweco Sport. I'm on my second one after I misplaced the first one. Unfortunately, the current one I have has a much finer nib than I thought; I ordered a Fine and it writes very much like an Extra Fine nib and goes from a hard-starter to an altogether non-starter. I have no idea how to fix it without just ordering a whole new nib unit.

    Honestly, while these pens are cute, I have had the worst luck with them. More than one of them has been scratchy or no ink coming out at all eventually, and no amount of cleaning, careful disassembling or examination has improved the situation. This is actually a brand that I now stay away from, sadly. Maybe the problem is that they are fine nibs, as another commenter mentioned Kaweco doesn’t seem to be too good with finer nibs.
