Remembering when I worked at an office and had those zebra sarasa pens at my desk. Anytime someone would borrow them to write a note down the would go "OOOOHhh!" and take a sticky note to write the type of pen down so they could buy it later
Are the normal sarasa pens just as good? Or are these vintage ones better?
@@kevinsmithgaming well, I had both at my desk with 0.5, a standard grey and a vintage red so I judged them on regular old notebook paper. They both require the same amount of ink pressure against the paper, which is barely any. But yeah, I would say the vintage feels a little better. And judging by the ink levels in my collection as a whole (5 vintage and 5 standard) I do reach for the vintage more. Pink is my favorite color, yet that ink level is higher than most... camel yellow was used the most. Ann only spoke the truth about that color. It's a special one.

At one job, early 2000, my bff and I would look at the Office Depot Catalog (massive catalog in our laps) while smoking in the lobby with a drink during our breaks. Everyone in the office knew that was our addiction time. Loved that she was in accounting so my office depot petty cash would be paid back!!! I still have some of the black and purple notebook paper they paid for!
So relatable. My mildliners still have ink so I'm resisting getting new ones 😭

I have the sarasara paper on my wishlist so I can always remember that's the kind I got before (my memory is Very Bad). same with the converters for my Kakuno pens. some day I will be able to justify spending the big bucks on a TWSBI pen...
sarasa pens write so wonderfully. i'm also a big fan of the pentel energel clena, and it works well in my hobonichi.
I love both of those midori tabs! I use the tiny unobtrusive ones to mark the starts of each month permanently and the metal ones to mark the current page I need. I’ve bought so many packs of those metal ones! All the other brands stick out waaaay too far- midori is the way to go!
Cosmo snow a4 paper. I make my own notebooks and you guys are the only ones carrying snow.
For me, it's the Deleter Feather Sweeper. I really want one, but I can never really justify buying it.
I bought mildliners forever ago, and the color is way less pigmented then when I used to see on CZcams- but I can’t get rid of them because I swear they last forever

The tiny Hobonichi tabs are perfect because of their small profile. Often larger tabs get in the way in notebooks. I use them weekly on my bullet journal and marking go-to recipes in my cookbooks.
I have that Zig Clean Color Dot Marker set and the colors are sooo pretty.
I have the midori removable planner stickers on my wishlist… (and in my cart currently 😂) but they are sooo cute ❤also this is a lonng video lol i was like 17 minutes?! great vid y‘all

@@Keallei once they’re dry they are, because it’s pigment ink not dye ink. Except for the neons.
It’s why I like them so much. I have the twin tip so I can write with them too.

Those metal tabs are possibly my favorite stationery item I've ever gotten!
I just picked up the four pack of the ZIG dot markers this past week (I really enjoyed the color combination, they're just so cheerful) and they're weirdly fun for doodling and using in my Jibun Techo. Even after I switched from Hobonichi to Jibun, I still like getting the Chiratto index tabs for the same reason - it makes it easy for me to switch from the month to weekly view using the color-coordinated tabs, and the color range is nice.
That camel yellow pen is my fave!
I use that uniball signo broad so much in my art. SO much brighter than the sakura gelly roll pen. and they're so smoooth

Ann - I feel the exact same way about Energel pens! I thought I was the only one in this universe that felt that way about the wiggle tips. I really wanted to like the Clena because of how they look, but alas. They're just sitting in my pen mug looking pretty.
I use a similar orange color ink in my fountain pen 💖

I got the US version Neutral colors instead, cause of the US exclusive Copper color, then just got the Dusty Pink on its own. The Vintage Sarasas are also my "main" pens for taking notes at work, on Sarasara paper of course. I think my favorite Vintage color over all is Blue Grey, it's a nice, almost denim color.
Also, my wishlist has, like 135 items on it, currently.

Finally someone who shares the same opinion on Energels! The ink is great, but I don't like the tip and the way it writes.

I wish I had the Campus lose leaf paper in school. Now that I have used their notebooks all the other I have used over the years were put to shame. And I want all the stickers!😂
On my wish list I have the Pilot Custom 743 Verdigris, also a bottle of Rohrer & Klingner ink, also Verdigris. :)
R&K Verdigris is one of my favorite inks. It's gorgeous!

I am so with Ann on the energel pen body! It rattles so much! As a left-handed writer, I do love the ink so I buy refills and put them in a better body like a uni-ball one.
I'm guilty of adding "essential favorites" to my wishlist instead of what I would like someone to get for me 😅 Maybe we need to be able to have 2 lists 😉
The Hobonichi plain notebook actually still has the old paper. Most of the planners use the Sanzen paper. Aside from the pretty cover, people (like me lol) probably want to have the old paper before it runs out.

Syringes are way more money efficient then converters, though converters are more neat. (I haven't gotten any converters yet.)

I don't like Energels either Ann! I don't like their barrels.
I totally prefer the light highlighters, I feel like the "normal" ones hurt my eyes.
