1937 1.7hp Johnson Model 110

Just doing a little barrel running with the old girl. I should have a put a fan on the barrel to keep the motor from inhaling its own exhaust. I can get her to idle low on the boat....but hey it barrel running when I can't out to the lake.
The dog did me a favor and chewed my trailer wiring. Cheesy. Oh well she is a pup and it was needing to be changed anyway.

Consider yourself lucky that it cools in a barrel. Those motors with the pressure/vacuum cooling system usually require running on a boat for proper cooling due to the forward motion of the boat.

Yes, you are so right, cooling is definitely increased with the forward motion of the boat. I usually do not run them very long in the barrel.
