Cant wait to watch you do interiror. I'm currently wrestling around with mine trying to get the headliner fit and in correctly.

Thats gonna be a minute but will be worth it. Keep in mind our videos are roughly 1 month behind so imagine where the van is at right now. Thanks for watching.

@@CrossCountryGarage Well hopefully i'll have it all buttoned up and figured out by then. haha. My issue is finding the right material for the front headliner piece and fitting it in around the door slider.

The actuator needs to be pushing outward more than up at the beginning of it's travel.....The distance of the door bracket down from the hinge is limited by the overall travel of the ram..... Keep in mind also it is lifting more weight closer to the hinge and the weight gets heavier as the door goes horizontal..... You might consider having the ram mount on a ceiling-mounted arm that is inboard far enough for triangulation when the door is shut and low enough for the door to fully open and have the motor on the top side of the ram (when fully open).... might be limited by overall travel though....

Built a crescent shaped bracket and actuator will pull down, just been busy with other stuff. Not even gonna use actuator but will get back around to figuring it out. Thanks

@@CrossCountryGarage Yes, I could see that working if the crescent comes far enough in and the attachment point for the ram end is higher up inside the van than the door hinges when shut.....I make "paper dolls" out of cardboard and lay out geometry on an old piece of plywood before final design in metal...

    You read my mind.

I have a better way so stay tuned. This way works but I wouldn't mount to front again, would be in way of a swivel seat I believe.

@@CrossCountryGarage that's what I was telling my daughter but we figured you had a work around for it.

Nice. Working out that geometry must be frustrating as heck.

It actually just kinda fell into place. Next design is a little trickier though. Stay tuned.
