    Crime Lord is a good option for Forge World origin characters as well since you gain passive abilities to convert certain weapon types (Melta guns, Plasma guns, and Power melee weapons) into INT based stats attacks. You can basically make a INT based melee DPS character as a warrior or Range character as a Ranger with Forge World Crime Lord if you plan to focus on Melta weapons, Plasma guns, and/or melee Power weapons. Especially the extra passive to turn this game's version of Persuasion and Intimidate dialogue options to be INT based instead of fellowship based so your Forge World Crime Lord can also be charming and a skilled lock picker with INT stats like a classic RPG Rogue/Thief character. Thus, you have a setup that is more close to the classic Rogue/Thief type character who always prefer to be the charming theif/rogue that can still fight just as well in combat if negotiation with their charisma does not work out.

      Yup that's a good call out thanks.

    • @kolosmenus
      @kolosmenus Před 9 měsíci +1

      It doesn't make them INT attacks though as far as I know, just gives them INT bonus to damage

    • @orrthehunter
      @orrthehunter Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@kolosmenus yes it gives INT bonus damage which adds to the current damage output you gain from Weapon skill damage or ballistic skill damage (based on the weapon skill stats) for normal attacks and skill attacks. So it is WS(or BS)+(INT bonus damage/2) for the rest of the battle after first attack for Melta guns, plasma guns, and melee power weapons. First strike is WS( or BS)+INT damage bonus.
      This covers the damage gain that STR will normally cover for melee weapons while also adding with the bonus damage from STR.
      There are non-PER stats ways to utilize Crime Lord with Forge World origin as well thanks to passives that adds WS stats to benefit the damage buff and AGI stats to increase dodge.
      Keep in mind we will not be able to invest in most passives for each Homeworld/Origin/class section due to the limits we are given to passive unlock so we will need to choose where our character is more invested in. Origin is still a important side of our character because this section not only provide unique skills and passives but also Special Dialogue options based on your character's Origin.

      Wont operator work well too not just warrior?

    • @orrthehunter
      @orrthehunter Před 9 měsíci +2

      @@mrluga yes it will if you want to focus on debuffing enemies. It is actually most ideal to go with Operator. It is far easier to build around this class as well since it focus on PER stats. However, if you want to use a advance class like Arch Militant then you must go with Warrior and Ranger since Operative does not have access to that class. Operatives can only go with Assassin (pure melee DPS), Bounty hunter (pure range DPS, or Grand Stategist (Buffer).
      We have to acount for a lot of things when making our character being their homeworld, Origin (there are Origin specific dialogue options), class, and what advance class they have access to.

    I already have one solid build idea for my hereticus run. Crime Lord Operative sniper from Fortress World.
    Both crime lord and operative scale with INT and PER. Stack both of their damage buffs, putting the operative debuff on the enemy will also put the crime lord debuff on them, and fortress world gives you a chance for a second shot, which is worth a lot if you're using a powerful single shot weapon.
    I still can't decide on the build for my benevolentia run though

    11:11 The Crime Lord is what I was thinking of before I got a look at your Psyker breakdown. A hyper intelligent pragmatist sounds appealing to me from a RP and mechanic standpoint, giving INT more weight with either Forgeworld or Voidborn and have lots of skills and I'd either go Operative(depending on how it works now, didn't like the Beta version of the class) or go Arch Militant to use both melee and ranged as a Jack of all Trades character since as other comments have mentioned the origin can work with both ranged and melee.

    • @SlanderedGaming

    May I ask how many psykers and daemons you face, as well as WP tests? Because in the tabletop RPGs (Rogue Trader, Dark Heresy, Only War and Black Crusade to a lesser extent), WP is by far one of the most important characteristics to have, if not the most important, as every other enemy worth a fight has a trait or ability which tests your WP. This should make the Priest a worthy pick for a non-psyker frontliner in most circumstances, but I'm not sure how Owlcat has tweaked the fights and tests for release. I do recall a lot of WP tests outside of combat from the beta, but that might be my confirmation bias.
    EDIT: Forgot to add, as psykers are loathed and feared by the regular Imperial Joe, a Ministorum Priest is loved and revered in turn, so odds are the Priest's strengths might be off the battlefield and in RP. Maybe even moreso since their strong WP will serve them well in resisting Chaos tempation, fear, warp influences etc as much as a psyker, and without the baggage of being an abomination.

    • @SlanderedGaming
      @SlanderedGaming  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I haven't faced a ton of Daemons but kind of have the feeling they pop up a lot more in the last couple of acts. Psykers are everywhere but many of them also have low health so my strategy is usually to kill them before they test my defenses.

    That is funny, priest would make the best psyker but they hate psykers. Kind of sums up the church nicely. Although a lot of these stats do fit thematically. Like if you're a guard commander, your either fit or fat, really no in-between, depending on if the world promotes nobles to positions of power or people that actually earned it. The priest is the same thing with willpower. Another world for bullheaded crazy people but meh. Only weird one was commissar and fellowship. The typical commissar rules by fear. I know people are gonna sight Cain but he's more of an exception than a rule. Most of them are the guys that get stuff done because the men under their care are constantly in threat of execution if they don't follow orders. Also they kind of make bad officers typically. Whole job is moral not tactics and some are so fanatical, they think it's a good idea to fight to the death even if the fight is completely 1 sided.
