Hi Ron... great reviews, thanks for the detailed look. I received an NS 8888 several weeks ago from Scale Trains and really like it. I did find the sound to be a little weak. Scale Trains customer service told be to drill some #50 holes in the underside of the fuel tank, which I did and it helped to increase the volume somewhat. Unfortunately, mine had a intermittent rear headlight, so I've sent it back to them. It's going on 3 weeks and haven't got it back yet. This is my 2nd locomotive from them and they do run exceedingly well.
These locos look beautiful!
Ron it was great meeting you last night @ the Scale Trains meet and greet
You too Larry. It was an enjoyable evening.
Nice looking locos. As a somewhat old timer in N scale I’m amazed at the improvements to model equipment since the early days. I’m trying to keep the era to pre BNSF. I’ll bide my time for a release in my time frame. But really nice job on these.
Can't go wrong buying these trains just awsome products
I’m starting to build an N scale layout while I clean up my HO scale layout. And these scale trains dash 9s might be the perfect run for a brand new N scale latout
Ron, Thanks soooo much for your review and opinion, WOW that was fast, I only asked you about the Scale Trains last week LOL
I’m thinking this new channel will be a winner. I’m sold on the ST’s and your channel.
That paint on the BNSF was great, when I first saw it I thought they messed up and forgot the stripes but sure, the green stood out like a sore thumb. THANK AGAIN!!!
Great review keep up the hard work.
Great content! Try a 0.5 second "cross dissolve" transition between cuts.
Nicely done Ron.
Have them in Ho and love them. I will check out the N scale line
HELLO RON ITS IS RANDY AND I LIKE U VIDEO IS COOL RON THANKS FRIENDS RANDY
I need those H2 BNSF locomotives
Good work
wow scaletrains superb detail than kato I should buy scaletrains Thank you for share video
Currently thinking of switching from O gauge to HO or N and Scaletrains is one of the bigger reasons of why.
You'll enjoy more variety in both HO or N.
@@tropicalties3806 I’ve decided I am switching and variety is one of the bigger reasons of why.
Ron, What number turnout did you use in your yard ladder shown in the video at 8:23? Thanks
I use all Peco medium radius turnouts, which are basically #6.
Good review Ron. The only thing I have is the horn and bell can barely hear it.
Set your CVs to a higher setting ✨️
Having been disappointed by other reviewers, I was pleasantly surprised with the depth to which the tests were done. What matters is how the couplers perform pulling a string of cars. Hauling a string up a helix is brilliant! Interesting that 1 pulls 13 cars while 2 pulled 22 . . . Just wondering, do you have to return these 3 to ScaleTrains?
The MU performance is typical. 2 locomotives never quite double the pulling force. No, in this case I do not have to return them.
Looks like you are interested in them. They are fabulous engines I love mine in Ho and will continue to build my layouts with them all even N scale as well.
How are these as runners compared to Kato?
They run very well. I have no complaints at all.
Very nice to bad so expensive
Ron, I am not on other social media. Do you have a public e-mail address? I have some pictures on a unique prototype to send you.

Their horns and bell are soft on these models.
Volume is adjustable.
