This is a play along tin whistle tutorial for some beautiful traditional Scottish songs. My apologies to all my Scottish viewers for my poor attempt at your beautiful accent :) I'm working on it!
The Flower Of Scotland, (used as the Scottish National Anthem in the 6 Nations Rugby) and Auld Lang Syne (otherwise known as the New Year song). Just follow the tabs and notes on screen to play along.
Great for beginners and Scot-lovers alike!
The Flower Of Scotland starts here: 0:44
Auld Lang Syne starts here: 1:25

I invite everyone to do what I just did and go through all of her videos and push the like button. This will help push her up on CZcams searches. She puts so much effort into her channel she deserves to be the first thing to pop up when the word whistle is searched. Hair makeup, lighting, video editing, sound mixing, playing an instrument then tabbing that's a lot of work.

Superb stuff 🤗 have been getting back into whistling again since the new year and your vids are excellent, I thoroughly enyoyed this one, your scottish accent sounded spot on to me 😊 and I can now see that my own made up out of my head version of Auld Langs Syne is a bit off 😁. Your low d whistle sounds and looks beautiful 😍. Would you be possibly considering a tutorial on Steve Earles 'Galway Girl'. Its such a great and bouncy tune. Keep up the good work Stephanie ☺.

They are perfect for beginners like myself and they are so fun! Secondly, could I request a tutorial on how to play half covered holes? I like very much this songs. I'm a Galician pipes musician, and I usually play some scottish songs. I would recommend you Amazing Grace, Scotland the Brave and Lieutenant McGuire to prepare.
Also, another interesting song is Tri Martolod, from French Brittany traditional music.
I'll recommend you some songs from here, Northwest of Spain. Good whistling!

Stephanie, Putting all class and sophistication aside, what little I have… ____ ____! You had me looking for my glasses and I was already wearing them ! Just when I thought I had my excessive hair growth and palpitations under control, you post another amazing video ! You are not the life of the party… you are the party ! Well what more is there to say… I love your outfit… I love your background… I love your hair style… I love the songs… And I love the Scottish Stephanie ! I have Scotch-Irish in both family trees… Until now I didn’t really give a hoot… But your little video motivated me to do some research on my ancestry. Scotch-Irish and Spanish on both sides is what I’ve found… Could it be that we both have somewhat of a temper? Well, enough about me… I almost forgot… I love your lighting… it makes your hair look so dark as if you have colored it and your eyes are amazing… And the cute funny part at the end was the icing on the cake! The Auld Lang Syne song is one that I’ve been tooting out by ear for a while… I’ll be using your tabs for sure now… Your version is amazing… I love it ! Now a question…You spelled the lang in your title land was that a typing error or deliberate ? Typing errors are so easy for me to make… And I must say that you are definitely on the wright track with your video presentations… You and your cute outfits make me feel in a way that my normal daily routine does not… Well, I’m sure you already know that… Did I hear you say more videos later this week? More costume changes too? Scottish Stephanie all week will be just fine... Thank you for all that you do!

If you're playing along, and can't quite keep up - mess with the youtube speed settings! You can play the video at 0.5 - half speed - and it won't affect the notes, only how quickly they come around.

Angie Brandy Hello 😊 so glad you like the video. My low whistle is an MKpro from www.mkwhistles.com They're quite pricey, about £250. I'd recommend a cheaper one to start with just encase you don't like it, as they're quite different to play in comparison to high tin whistle. Dixon or Shearwater make low D whistles for about £40 and are a wonderful place to start! 😊
