  • Hey y’all! Another week another venture into the world of aftermarket parts. Let’s check out the all new Edelbrock VRS-4150 together! This think is a killer piece, between the adjustability and the existing tps location it’s got a little of everything!

I like your video and your presentation, especially the no chock bit. You do not talk needlessly like some, but you do have a tendancey to roll your words into each other making it a bit hard to understand you in some bits, like where you hit the hood with your hand, Your words may come across clearer to your audiance if you think about this a little, as you speak. keep up the good work.

I live in Alaska and I definitely need a choke (on my carb).

Something almost marine style might help: sump heater with an intermittant prelube pump [on a cycle timer for 1or 2 minutes each hour] would get heat into the top end early. Easy on a gen1 sbc or 351W, but no idea where to port in [with check valve] for an LS. Most track heaters are too hot for overnight service - oil at 150 or so is what I would aim for, so select from an industrial source carefully as wattage isn't the only concern. The minor amount bypassing pump back to sump is negligible, as without rotation that path is effectively blocked - flow will largely go to the top end & bearings. Pan modification for external pump suction line required, and clearance checked - I like about 1" off bottom to stay clear of any potential dregs, and put a screen in before the check valve at the block. Incorporate a charger to maintain battery with a crank lockout relay when 110v is plugged in to prevent dumb stuff from happening.

They make a inline water heater that goes on your lower radiater hose. Works great, its like your motor is warmed up all nite regardless of the temp. You wont need a choke.

@@daveski4496Thank you for the advice. I have used those, and you're right, they work great.

I had to pause at 1:00, because... those boosters are deep in the venturi - mid point? This thing will develop some signal, and better put my tuning hat on with 2 high speed bleeds. This may be one of the better carbs to come out in a while - thank dambest for their research and innovation?
